In our culture, the wedding band is the engagement rings. We both wear it on the right finger. Now if the woman wants an additional ring, usually it is bought with the wedding band. Who pays for all of those rings depends on each couple. My husband and I, I bought them on my credit cards as he was paying for other expenses related to the engagement party. Some people it is the man's parents who pays as "they" are asking for the girls' hands on behalf of their sons. My inlaws didn't pay for our rings because they didn't have money. I did receive a gold necklace, though, lol Anyways... no engagement rings in our culture. Which is better that way.

As for the car its clear that she doesnt want the car and at the same time does not want him to have it as she let it sit for 6 months outside her mothers house and she kept saying she would let him borrow it. There is no borrowing from each other when preparing for marriage but it looks like her mindset going into the marriage was "whats mine is mine"

@@jdsiv3 And did you miss where they also said in court that he spent money on a bunch of frills that weren’t necessary to get the car running.. JJ even made clear she wasn’t reimbursing him for that. So actually they are both losing money because he spent more than he was awarded.

Sad that people will spend money and lose a lawsuit just to spite someone. She clearly doesn't want the car, but just doesn't want him to have it. So now she owes him $1k just to prove a point lol

Why did she keep saying "I let him borrow it". This was someone she was about to MARRY. Where, unless either of them signed a prenup, everything was going to be one in the same and the only way to separate it would be to go to court. No way her man knows how to work on cars and she said "babe once you fix it you can BORROW it". She wasn't even using the car. She's just holding on to it now to be petty. Also, don't buy your own engagement ring. If you've agreed to go the traditional route and have him propose don't rush it by paying for it yourself. It's almost like you're forcing him into it.

I've often heard of taking a horse to water but not being able to make it drink, but JJ didn't just take that horse to the well, she stuck it's nose so far into it, she almost drowned the beast, and STILL it wouldn't drink. Result, pay him $1066.
