Oh no brainer I solved it by creating offset on both sides and then using the thickness of the dimensions, worked perfectly!

No, You can't apply texture like this in Solidworks

What is the difference between "merge" and "combine"?

Both do the same thing. But Combine is a separate operation where you can do Union(Add), Subtraction and Intersection (Common) But Merge is not a separate feature it belongs to a certain feature in Solidworks and allows us to merge or unmerge the created body to the existing solid body Merge is present in like every feature command in Solidworks or the feature which makes a solid body must have Merge option inside it Basically Merge comes inside the feature command and combine is a separate operation in Solidworks Hope it helps you 🤗
