Everything about this game tells me the creators were inspired. The fact it's a Western set in a Mad Max world, the music, the lived-in clunky feel of the gadgets and surroundings. Also the voice acting and interface reminds me 90s generation video games like Duke Nukem. It has great potential!

Honestly, the vibe is excellent. The UI is actually very very cool. But there was nothing outside of those two things that strike me as impressive or remarkable. Like, the gameplay and just how the enemies moved felt very lifted from old Fallout games. Here’s hoping they’re cooking up something special. I’ll keep an eye out for sure

It comes across more like scripted gameplay rather than something that would organically happen in-game. Definitely nailed the vibe and atmosphere though so hope it turns out well.

@@joshp9947 that strikes me as the intent though, not every game needs to be an organically explored open world experience. This looks like an Indy game with a story to tell. Seems like it could be fun to me. Love the atmosphere.

It's pre alpha. Bit early to be expecting the world.

Could be a cool sort of survival horror considering slow moving enemies and scarce ammunition, but the enemies seem to go down pretty easily, and having such a fast dodge for such slow enemies is a little odd, but of course these may not be the main enemies you face. Love the vibe and creative HUD designs.

Thank you! In fact, there will also be some survival horror elements in Exekiller. You're right, these robots aren't strong adversaries. But don't worry, you will also face some truly powerful opponents :)

Please let powerful not mean inflated healthbars or bullet sponge enemies. Let them be smart and use cover or be really deadly etc. Not interested in games that make fights "hard" by making enemies just take loads of bullets.

It's like someone asked me what my dream game/setting would be and then made it a reality. Getting huge New Vegas vibes from this. Couldn't be more excited!

Okay. I'm not a font guy, but all the fonts used in this game gave such a warm nostalgia from both gaming and vintage films. This is on top of all the retro future vibes. Little details like that makes me think the developers are putting some extra love into this game.

It's like Fallout New Vegas and Cyberpunk 2077 had a few too many drinks and fooled around a bit. Super excited for this one!

The atmosphere reminds me of fallout new vegas but with a 70s vibe to it.

The sound design is incredible

Props to this group for showing early gameplay, and not a cgi movie of what the gameplay could be like. Need more of this with new games, show real gameplay instead of a trailer.
