+ewk200 Thanks! Unfortunately, it's not tall enough, but it's great for placing on a kitchen counter or table to get better elevation. I'd like to review something similar to what you speak of in the future though. 🙂👍

Pretty solid review brother. Hard to find good ones on this product, as most don't show real demonstrations or the drawbacks, but just talk about its theoretical use... which can be read in the ad anyway 😂 Would have also liked to see what its like to use without an external keyboard, just for future thoughts. Thinking of how other people might use it would be helpful 🙂 But overall a good review brother 👍🏼

I just bought the X3 one that has the vented holes. It's still tricky to adjust the legs. The legs are metal but the feet are plastic. I still have trouble adjusting it to use on the bed but I'll get there. The instructions are vague. Also when I run my finger down the left side of the metal stand, it's not smooth like the right side; Would sanding it down keep the side smooth?

thanks for the review! still looking around for something a bit different...have you seen anything with a pneumatic or air release system where I could just push a button to raise a shelf for my laptop? Looking to use it when DJ-ing so that my mixer and other things could be in a case and the laptop shelf could be stored in the same case and be raised up when at a gig...thanks again!

In the video you were worried about it being too flimsy to hold your laptop because it only had leg support one one side of the desktop. I have a solution that I did on mine: 1) put all three leg sections at 90 degrees to make a “U” shape, this positions the end of outermost leg section directly under the end of the desktop that doesn’t have legs. This section end has a hole in it. 2) buy some pvc pipe (22.5” long sch40 1/2” pvc and some end caps 3) color with black/silver spray paint to suit your asthetics 4) slide pvc pipe into leg end holes and secure with end caps to make a rock solid surface for under $10 hack

I imagine it depends a lot on the bed firmness. In India the beds are extremely firm so it probably wouldn't move as much 😂

Hi. If you raise the stand at eyes level in nearly an upright position, and you put a book or a tablet on it for reading, will it wobble as you highlight with a pen on them? I need the book/ tablet to be very stable Thanks

Hi Bakingways, If using a book or tablet on it, it would work great. The stand is light though, so if you are using a highlighter or pen it may move depending on how you have it adjusted. This stand is great for placing a laptop on or a book, but may not be best for writing on. Hope this helps. 🙂

+Aisha Estophile You can use Word on a Chromebook but not through the Playstore. Although Microsoft offers the OneDrive app on the Playstore, it looks like Microsoft requires you to download the Microsoft Word app. However, the Microsoft word app doesn't seem to be on the Playstore. The work around for this is to access Microsoft word through your internet browser, which can be done a Chromebook. The address is OneDrive.live.com/start/Word.aspx

+Aisha Estophile Your welcome! I also want to mention you can use Excel this way also. I'd also recommend trying Google Docs. It actually works very well and is a great alternative to Microsoft's suite of apps. But regardless of your preference, you can get a Chromebook, do both, and still be happy! 🙂👍

You most certainly can Nadine, although your device may fall off... 75 degrees appears to be the the next adjustment before that which provides just a slight angle to provide a good viewing experience while assuring your device doesn't fall off. 🙂

just as you mention, the buttons near the laptop surface get jammed (stuck) easily. I got mine today and couldn't fix this not even with a knife. Now it's worthless. Don't buy it

Seriously? Maybe if you hadn't tossed aside the hardware, you wouldn't have had slipping/scratching issues. One of the little bags you completely disregarded had 3M pads that you stick on the metal tray to keep the laptop from sliding or getting scratched. Dude the lip you're putting the velcro on is the backstop. They provide two rubber stoppers for the side without the lip. Unfortunately the stoppers were made for the backstop. Typical Chinese backasswards design. Dont buy this product!

Nah that's right at eye level. Ideally for keeping the brain simulated we look slightly up at about 10-15 degrees according to Andrew Huberman
