Just want to add that if your pumping regularly like this and still not pumping enough its ok to supplement your baby formula . Its not poison. And giving your baby just one feeding of breast milk a day makes a huge difference.

Hey momma! Can you give an update on your milk supply if it gradually increased after one month? Does "established milk supply" affect this? I can only pump up to 2 oz combined despite a month of pumping. I feel like it is not enough for my baby huhu

@@jesystar hey momma, I'm currently in my 4th month of breastfeeding going 5 months now and it did increase from 2oz to 3oz, sometimes 4oz to 5oz. I did have to supplement but I mix feed my baby, 4parts breastmilk and 1part formula, depending on her demand. Just be consistent with your pumping sched, as much as possible include early morning pumps for the 1st 3 months so that your body will create more milk, I had to stop by the 4th month because I had to go back to work. Part of the reason I think that I had a lower supply was because of stress and anxiety of feeling inadequte. I pressured myself too much that time. Try to relax and stick to your pumping schedule. Sleep as much as you can and stay hydrated. If all else fails, just remember that a fed baby is what is most important. You are doing your best and that is all your baby is asking for. What you lack in breastmilk you can always make up for with love and care. We can do this momma! ❤️

I cannot recommend truly handsfree pumps enough! When I returned to work (hell, even beforehand) it was impossible to sit down to pump for 15-20 minutes every 2-3 hours while chained to the electric outlet. My supply plummeted because I would miss pumps and/or get severely off schedule. (Many, many tears were shed.) Once I invested in a freemie and a BellaBaby pump (I slip it in my pocket and ~viola!~) I was able to rebuild my supply and stay on track! I would love to get a Willow or Elvie pump, but alas, it's just not in my budget. The freemie has been working out beautifully though. (I recommend using a "normal" breastpump for your morning and bedtime pumps just to ensure that you're truly emptied out. The freemie cups can be tricky to position and having the flanges juuuust right is a *huge* factor for how well I empty.)

With my daughter she was breastfed and if needed formula supplement- some days I wouldn’t have enough and other days I have enough for her. And if I pump she would NOT take the bottle at all!!! Only from the boobs 🤣🤣. She was a picky baby cause its the same Bottle she took when we gave her formula. 😅 Well I’m pregnant with my second and am a full time worker so in 2-3 months after having her I’ll be returning to work and this pumping experience is so new and nerve wrecking since I don’t know what to do. So starting to research and have a something in mind! I’m so grateful for your video.

Don’t feel guilty for not nursing your baby your still providing them with awesome nutrients and care. Out of my 3 the one that is the mama’s boy, snuggle bug is the exclusively formula fed one vs my breast fed and exclusively pumped babies.

I was just wondering if your morning pump is longer in duration than your other pumps or are you able to get that much milk in the same amount of time? I’m currently pumping 20mins per pump. Thanks

When do you start pumping after the baby is born? Did you start pumping right away or did you nurse your baby for the first couple of days, then started pumping? This video is so helpful! I’m downloading this. Thank you so much.

Hey girl , if you re not nursing, ( nursing will help supply so much though ) , you need to try and pump right away .. within a couple of hours from birth . I nursed for 3 weeks before pumping

Thank you!!! I’m 25 weeks today and have been spending the last few days researching exclusive pumping, I love this video for the breakdown of schedules and the common sense approach you have when explaining which pumps to combine/get rid of. I am journaling all my notes from this video to refer back to. Do you have any recommendations for slow flow bottles? Thank you!

I’m two weeks postpartum and exclusively pumping since I was unable to get my baby to latch properly. I’ve been doing the every three hour schedule but only get about 2oz each session. My baby is drinking min 3-4 oz so I’m having to supplement..which is discouraging since pumping has been so exhausting. Any other tips or suggestions?

Ive been EP as well im 5 weeks PP and i started the same exact way. I was only ever able to get 2oz or 3oz for both breast. I ended up pumping every 2 hrs including nights. I always set up an alarm to wake up and now i pump 4-6oz a sitting for both breast. Its probably not alot but its definitely a big difference to me. Its all supply and demand! Im still pumping every 2 hrs. Im so exhausted but well worth it 🙂 try it and see how it goes! Good luck!

I’ve been BF and pumping twice a day but I’m going to switch to EP. do you think I can get my supply up being 8 weeks pp by doing the 8 pumps a day? I pump 10-16 ounces with 1 morning and 1 night pump right now.
