    I couldn't agree more. There are some things that Teddy can go off on a tangent about but overall he has such a love of the game. I'm curious as to when boxing will ever get an oversight committee because it is getting pretty bad.

    Judges should be removed from ringside and put in separate rooms and watch fights on big flat screen tv's/monitors with no sound while wearing headphones to block out all noise. Judges watch 3 dimensional fights from a 1 dimensional point of view and I think a lot of controversial decisions over the years are because of that. Besides, a much better view of the fight is seen on tv rather than watching it in person. Tv shows every angle and almost every punch unlike watching it in person where people only see what is going in when the fighters are facing them. I also think instant replay should be instituted to verify knockdowns and not just the controversial ones but all of them. An official could sit at ringside and review the knockdown in between rounds and then notify the referee and then he can notify the judges and the fighters before the next round starts and it would only take a few seconds to determine a knockdown because it is not rocket science. However, boxing is hard to regulate because it is truly an international sport that it not under one corporate umbrella like the UFC, NFL, NBA etc., and I do not think most people realize that.

    ***** all judges are trained to score fights and have to be licensed, there's very strict criteria to judging fights. now, some may consider it outdated but nonetheless that is how fights are scored. Teddy's an ex-trainer and an astute analyst but he's not a qualified judge, he's not licensed and clearly showed a lack of understanding when talking about how to score a fight.

    Corruption in any form, but especially in boxing, believes that if they can con you because you don't know what you're looking at (like assuming that judging criteria, or the noticeable effort of fighters, is utterly subjective), then you deserve to have your money stolen, and they, the corrupt, are entitled to steal it. The corrupt say the whole world is like them, and so justify their crimes.

    Teddy Atlas talked about honesty, I'll do the same by admitting to being a Pacquiao fan though not a die hard. I agree with what he said about corruption in the sports and I think it is true that all involve should do everything to cleanse it. I wonder however what he felt about Pacquiao, because I believe he was a hater. Everywhere I see him or hear him he talked negative about Pacquiao. He's siding to whoever is Pacquiao's opponent and worse is even if Pacquiao won in a fight, he will not acknowledge any of his good accomplishment in boxing. He hates Pacquiao so much as though the guy doesn't deserve to called a great fighter. He talked of honesty and corruption, he should castigate the Floyd camp for corrupting the system in boxing, the very essence of what he said is corruption. While he hates Manny, he's on one hand very vocal in his support for Floyd. I even heard him saying about Manny supposedly using PED, but never mentioned about Floyd's being a user himself which is public knowledge. Pacquiao was never tainted with use of drugs in all his fights, that accusation was only a product of the malicious mind of people like Mr. Atlas. Their hate on Manny was polluting their sanity. Sure, lets all go out against corruption, and let Mr. Atlas start it by being vocal also with Floyd's ways of corruption. Floyd is cherry picking his opponent and dictating what the commission officials are supposed to be doing. Mr. Atlas should start with it.

    Ok so this is like the film industry. It's not outright bribery but critics and awards judges etc are wined and dined and treated to such hospitality as to influence a particular outcome. That way a producer can get the decision they wanted without saying they bribed anyone.

    They should put former trainers as judges..or have a intermission for 15 minutes after the fight to review the fight from a telivised view...sometimes i believe the judges get influenced by the crowd..when their fighther lands a punch they cheer! That sometimes can steel a round from a fighther. That's just my opinion I'm no expert like teddy. They need to work on a more accurate decision with technology and get rid of the judges.

Boxing doesn't draw the fans or the athletes like it used too but blaming it on corruption is BS. Corruption is a problem but its obvious not the main problem.

    What's Teddy's talking about is just one part of the reasons (besides the Bobfather wanting to have continued commiting Arum'd Bobbery on Mayweather's bank account) that Floyd and Pac haven't fought. Bob uses his fighters money he steals to "help" those at the before a big fight dinner tables who will "win" in Top Prank to maximize his own bank account with re-matches upon re-matches. This time I believe Pac will be given the win to set up Pac vs. JMM 5 with a re-match third fight later down the line again with Bradley. Bradley may be the better fighter but Bradley doesn't have a high KO ratio and Pac's been getting away with taking roids for years, couple that with judges who will favor him this time, and Tim will HAVE to win at LEAST ten rounds to two. If he doesn't blow out Pacquiao or KO him the judges will favor Pac for "business". Same reason the media fawns over the fraud Pacquiao. They want press coverage passes to future Top Prank fights and other perks.(Especially coverage to the Pac vs. Floyd carrot Bob dangles over their heads as he decides if Pac will fight Floyd. Which he won't unless he gets a huge cut of the money. If Pac decided to leave Arum? He'd let the PED's out with his own sources and RUIN Pac and his legacy. Manny knows it too. So PAc will fight for him knowing Bob is stealing from him and there's nothing he can do about it.)

    I have no respect for Teddy. He's a convicted armed robber, egomaniac and he openly brags about putting a gun to a teenage Mike Tyson's head. The guy should be back on Rikers Island! Why would you ask someone with a documented criminal history and multiple character flaws about integrity in boxing?

  • @afrot7410

    @afrot7410

    10 жыл бұрын

    Well... To be quite honest. We could pick any person on this earth and they would have some character issue of some sort. Two of those things happened a long time ago. That would be like me saying Bernard Hopkins... CAN'T KNOW about the integrity of boxing because... He was a convicted blah, blah, blah. Mike Tyson can't know anything about the integrity of boxing because he was a convicted blah, blah, blah. Evander Holyfield who has 11 kids-by many different woman-can't KNoW anything about the integrity of boxing... Blah blah blah. We can go back and forth all day like Red and Meth.. Or we can come to a conclusion that despite their shortcomings on many different fronts... They have an eye for things because they have been around the game longer than some of us have been alive. And that maybe... JUST MAYBE.. Outside the scope of our own personal beliefs, feelings, and thoughts integrity can still be found in their world.
