He and the teams are holding back more driver opportunities, engineers opportunities, and staff opportunities in learning the formula 1 craft in the UK, Europe & further afield. Any long term F1 fan knows HE IS HOLDING BACK LONGER TERM GROWTH. Originally their was due to be 13 teams joining the F1 2010 season. Nowdays F1 is going down the toilet, all at the expense of greed and stupidity of this man.

No team's no f1. The team's was racing in the series before even the FOM was part of the sport. It's their sport not the fia or said fan's. That's why the team's all have to agree on all new regulations before they can be used unless it's for safety. There's better out in this world than Andretti. All for new team's as long as it's a brand manufacturer team. There's also only one place's on the grid for another team and we all know who that is.

to speak on female drivers into the F1 drivers academy I think this a great thing but this should be open to all female drivers that meet the criteria and should not be discriminated on because of where they are from, there is one driver in particular "Irina Sidorkova" just because she is Russian that should not prevent her from having the opportunity to race or prove she can race in F1, she is an extremely hard worker, respectful, classy, and is an extremely talented racer that deserves the opportunity, if Formula 1's motto is "We Race as One" then no one should be left out or discriminated.

I would like to see clearer, more consistently applied racing rules. "Let them race" is a fine philosophy but that needs to be embedded in the rules, not override a clearly infringed rule when we want to see better/ closer racing. I'm honestly not clear most of the time what the rules are on when a driver should yield for example - seems very complex, and different each time. Media could also do a better job of explaining the racing rules. But mostly, do we need the same stewards, or at least one consistent steward throughout the championship. Also, just looking at the overtaking rules again, they often reference the bend apex (i.e. who is ahead at this point) - but that's not clear cut - maybe each bend should have a marker and camera at the apex for clarity.

Let them race sounds like they want to manipulate the racing. When one gets over aggressive (say no names) they want to over look it. When one goes to the fine lines they will punish it. All those going over the white lines penalties are naff. They are racers not Uber drivers.

That "PROCESS' for applying for entrance to F1 is written down where? And if someone meets those requirements and has financial strength and falls within the stated limits on number of teams, why can't they enter. Most of the teams on the grid certainly wouldn't have met those requirements when they started. McLaren started with one car on a trailer pulled by a station wagon. Whether the other teams "like" the new team shouldn't make a difference. It's competition, you're not supposed to like each other.

Here's a tip for "growing the sport". Stop giving the likes of Sky exclusive TV rights, so that more people can have access to it. Not everyone can afford to, or wants to give their hard-earned to Sky. I'm sure there are many F1 fans like myself, who have watched F1 for decades on various terrestrial TV channels, but can't anymore. This situation is really turning me off F1. A sport I've always loved and enjoyed. F1 and Sky have become incredibly greedy. Not impressed.

they should put all the races on youtube and FOM should just let the fans use the footage as they wish, that would be the best way to growing the sport imo.

Why would they do this? F1 is growing worldwide more than it ever did on terrestrial tv. Us in the UK are not really a priority for F1 as the market is comparatively small

@@Hammertime4404 The growth in interest in F1 has sweet FA to do with it being on Sky though has it. Nothing at all. It would surely reach an even wider audience on terrestrial tv. Both F1 and Sky are in it purely for the money. And before you say anything in response to that, yes, whoever broadcasts it needs to see a return but, the greed displayed by the aforementioned is now off the scale, and surely driving some long term fans away. It's become even worse since Domenicali has been at the helm. Count how many times he uses the phrase 'commercial side' or similar in interviews. I don't believe he's interested in much else in his new role, like sport for example. Totally driven by the mighty dollar now. I think the bubble is likely to burst once the 'Drive To Survive' crowd move on, which they're more than likely to do. Can you tell I'm definitely not a fan of Sky TV? They've even just sacked Johnny Herbert because he spoke his mind on the debacle of a closing race of the 2021 season!

@@stevegardiner8473 I never said the growth had anything to do with sky? What I’m trying to say is the fact it’s not on terrestrial tv doesn’t look to have held it back at all. Unfortunately people seem to have an expectation that things should be free, when that’s not the way the world works… the premier league hasn’t been free to watch for decades now.

@@Hammertime4404 Yes you did lol. Or am I misinterpreting when you say "F1 is growing worldwide more than it ever did on terrestrial tv"? I don't, and never intend to pay for F1 or Football. I'll just stop watching them. If everyone took the same approach, we'd all be better off, and get much better deals. Football fans, as you point out, have been ripped off for decades. Formula One is now doing the same. Sky can shove it where the sun don't shine.

But could he take the G forces off a f1 car and the skill. Probably not. There's driver's out there who have won in other race series but failed to score a point in f1. It's more than just driving that makes them the best.
