Just today I have been propositioned in a disgusting manner and a few days ago a guy actually tried to molest me. It left me numb, I don't even cry anymore nor get angry as I don't have the energy. It is a bloody daily thing. I can't share it with anyone because I know this community where I stay will love to hear of this and blame me. They are beyond jealous. I can't even report thirg to the police because those dogs are even worse. The only senior inspector I had heard was decent and tough on crime in his area has retired. I have been part of the industry, it is quite common to hear stories like these. Often designers take sexual favors from models- male to cast them on the ramp. What goes on with women is quite often heard of everywhere. What's not common is people coming out to share their stories. Because of which stories are often hushed as a norm and/or compromises are made. A large number of success stories you see on camera are results of compromises made. People in power can only be exposed, if more stories like these are encouraged. Please continue this movement #metoo

While I do not stay in New Delhi anymore I remember back in the early 2000’s until maybe 2010 there used to be a famous gay pub called Pegs & Pints. They hosted a gay night every Tuesday and would be attended by the gay population in Delhi. They had a cover charge of Rs500/- so the crowd was mostly decent. I definitely recollect seeing Rohit Bal, Vijay Arora, Manish Arora and Suneet Varma in these parties. They would invariably bring some boy toys (upcoming male models) from the fashion world along with them. Some of them would pick up boys from the party place and take them home. I learnt that the fashion industry is notorious for men as most designers, choreographers are gay and it’s almost taken for granted that if you wish to succeed in fashion and then graduate to movies sleeping around is mandatory. A lot of boys indulge in this to get work. With more awareness most of the boys from the newer generation don’t even think twice before sleeping for work because for them their career goals come before anything else. Because everyone indulges in it in the fashion world and it’s mostly give and take it’s not possible for anyone to come out and talk about sexual harassment or # me too. Also male models are easily replaceable. This boy is very honest but unfortunately look at his career it never took off. His story from Delhi repeated in Mumbai but let me tell you it’s the same everywhere in the world as far as modelling world for male models is concerned. Sabyasachi I know used to hunt for boys on the yahoo chat rooms. His fetish was not the perfectly toned male models but the regular working crowd. He loved jerking off and chatting dirty on yahoo.
