Wouldn't it be cool if diamond select made a classic iron man?

The first version of the War Machine armor was used by Tony Stark and had no arc reactor. A separate version (Mark II) was made specifically for Rhodes and it had an arc reactor.

Diamond Select continues its killing it ways! And i feel there are gonna be even more accessories than what they're showing us.

Diamond Select has been low key building the West Coast Avengers team.

Sweet! I wish Diamond Select would make a Modular Armor Iron Man to go with him! They are killing it with their figures. I just picked up Mr. Fantastic and he is amazing!

I normally collect Legends, Mcfarlane and Select. When I get my hands on Select, it is the best by far, I have no doubt.

if this came with that VTOL rig he had in MvC this would have been a slam dunk. oh well.

I wish DST could have the master license for Marvel instead of Hasbro. Most modern Marvel Selects are superior in sculpt and paint over Legends.

They always have been, but now they are giving us comparable articulation which pretty much makes Legends irrelevant other than scale and character library.

@scottspindleman I don't get the love for 1/12th scale figure. So many adult collectibles are 1/10th scale. Hasbro is the company that mainly deals in 1/12th scale these days, at least from what I see.

@@WiGgYof09 I like 1/12th myself, but I don't get some of these collectors being stuck on just that scale to the point where they can't appreciate objectively better products because of it. Marvel Select comes with so much more than Marvel Legends and at damn near the same price. Scale be damned, these are some excellent figures all around.

As much as I really like DST (and I do think they’re much better then Hasbro), in my opinion, the quality isn’t there for them to do a large number of figures a year. If they made their figures more durable and had paint apps that didn’t flake off easily I’d agree though. I would live to see Jada take a crack at some comic figures tho

For me, it's the scale. I loved Legends from before 2021, and they do make some good figures every once in a while, but it would be weird for me to see a 7 inch War Machine in my collection. Also I like the articulation.

Honestly the ML Warmachine was good enough so this one is an easy pass for me. Now if they can give us the Punisher war machine suit.

The part swapping is actually pretty cool, it's still not better than the Legends War Machine, not even close. This is cool for those Diamond Select hipsters but we already got a lot of good War Machines and this guy is just above average.

Both figures are based off the same thing, of course they will be similar lmao The Marvel Select has better sculpt and more defined musculature, only downside I see is the single jointed arms and legs, everything else looks like an improvement from the Hasbro one.

It’s not even a copy-paste, considering there’s interchangeable parts that give you the first version of the War Machine armor that ML has yet to adapt.

I usually watch some reviews before pulling the trigger on a figure, but this might be a day 1 purchase for me. It looks amazing
