This is another game from my childhood, first Final Fantasy VII Remake/Rebirth, now Dragon Quest III 2D-HD Remake along with Dragon Quest I-II 2D-HD, this is just amazing.

Only problem is that they would probably censor Ayla's outfit. They seem to have censored the female warrior outfit in DQIII, and while I'm not against that as she still seems pretty otherwise plus it makes her look more like a female version of the male warrior SE should leave Ayla's outfit alone. It looks classier than the female warrior's metal bikini, and if they censor it then we'll know that SE has been infected with the PC mindset.

@@Dinobolt1 It’s called marketing. They will do what they want to do to maximize sales. There’s no political motivation at work, only capitalism. They’re giving us amazing features including new ones like abilities, they’re giving his amazing visuals, orchestrated soundtrack, and yet this the type of agenda people are trying to push? It feels very forced, it feels very intentional as a means of stirring up fake outrage

That weapon that is found in that secret is a Divine Dagger. Slightly more powerful weapon than the Copper Sword. You usually get one of these sometime after you go past where you use the Wrecking Ball to the dungeon that leads to Romaria. But here they put it in quite a bit earlier so that's kinda nice. All vocations can use it but Martial Artists will have lowered attack power using it unless they change that out for the remake

My goodness for the first time finding out the spoiler playing on the gbc... It moved me. I was still young enough not to put all the pieces of the puzzle together but then the text popped up and blow me away.

Would love to have it early but i feel a public demo won't happen until much closer to release, hope i am wrong about the when though. Really cool w/ the icons for party members at shops for equipment. I would love to see Chrono Trigger in this style. Just under 125 days to release.

Oh and that memory feature. It’s not a new thing exactly but it is something that was modified from the Super Famicom and Gameboy Color versions where The Hero had a set of spells or skills that did that stuff. But here it’s a separate menu thing rather than being magic

@@dukey03 there was like four spells/skills concerning it. Remember, Recall, Recollect, and Forget. The original version of Dragon Quest VI on Super Famicom had these too

Dungeon maps? 🤔 I dunno... It removes the challenge from dungeon crawling, especially the maze-like dungeons. Hopefully it's an item you get from chests inside dungeons similar to Zelda. Also, I'm gonna miss not being able to zoom indoors -- the thrill of daring too deep into a high-level dungeon and you end up with no healing items left and just enough MP for Zoom, praying that you make it to the closest exit alive.

In the system menu there's an option to turn off the minimap! (Didn't watch the video so I don't know if he noticed this, but they showed it off in one of the Japanese demos)

Zooming to dungeons is good and all too bad you likely can't WARP to a specific floor since the tower North of All trades Abby/Dharma temple the First Metal slimes show up for its 3rd floor or on the world map outside of the Abby itself.

No all the non-nes versions have three boomerangs. the standard Boomerang, the Edged Boomerang, and the Flamerang.

Baffling choice to rename the slimes to "Flangelo". Srsly, tho, this looks fantastic. I can't wait to get my hands on this.

@@user-bo1hw6qs5l I haven’t played the newer versions in a LONG time, but in the NES/Famicom original; the top floor was where you can go and create your own party members from scratch. My guess is since this is a trial, they blocked off access to this area. Very perceptive of you to notice though haha!

Its blocked off because that's where you normally can create your own party members and NOT use the default jobs but at the same time due to the default jobs on the Demo party members stats will be lower then normal. Since normally when you create your own party you can boost your stats between Attack Speed Wisdom, INT/Magic damage up or Luck use 5 copies of those stat up boost items its just that the Personalities chosen at random are based on your final of those 5 stats.

I will play the old one.

I hope the motion blur of this game can be turned off on PC this looks terrible to me.
