1st round talent. No shade on Boyd. Loved him but Burton was legit considered a first round talent. It was his “character concerns” as to why he fell. Cinci could potentially have 3 number 1 WRs for this season.

Burton is in a situation that is similar to winning the lottery. He has no pressure as “the guy” due to Chase and Higgins as well as a QB that can get you right. It’s similar to creating a walking path in the woods by walking down the weeds. The path is wide open and make the journey that much easier.

When the guy who coached him for the last 2years - Nick Saban, says right after the Bengals picked him, mentions character and maturity issues with him, I don't think that's just a "perception" issue. Hopefully, he has learned a lesson, because in the NFL taunting penalties come quick and easy. Hell, they will flag you for just talking some smack. I've watched Burton's highlight videos, and after almost every catch he tries to get in the defenser's face or show some aggressive actions. I have high hopes for the kid like every other Bengals fan, let's just hope he keeps his emotions in check and actually becomes a PRO. Just being drafted into the NFL doesn't automatically mature him or get rid of his college traits.

@@digitalsalsas, I'm quite certain that TJ has walked him through that and made him realize just how badly he messed up, TJ don't play with all that, and I'm sure more than once he reminded him about all he lost, reputation wise, monetarily and potentially his freedom from acting like he did, TJ has daughters and has a short fuse about stuff like that, so if he says he's convinced that the kid has turned a corner and has contrition, then I'm takin that as bond....Not that he can't be hidin different feelings about all of it, but that's how people grow, through good experiences and bad....I think that it would be WAY different were he and the girl to meet today as opposed to then, and until it happens we'll never know, and shy of him giving her money what can he do to change it now, because a press conference and a true public apology would still seem fake even today....Perhaps they meet one day and they can get past it, I know it had to have one hell of an effect on the girl to have been done like that for basically doing her job, though I'm not fully familiar with the entire thing, so perhaps they both have some soul searching and admittance of havin a part to play in how it all happened....Who knows for certain... .

Wrong. I guess you're forgetting the 2 gun related incidents last year. Mixon kept to the straight and narrow up until last year. I'm not convicting him in the public sphere, but hanging around people like his sister's gangster BF and waving a gun at people on the road doesn't bode well for Mixon's character. He's nothing like Pac Man, but to hold him up like some kind of role model ain't right either.

@@Iowrider714 idk nothing about all that but the point of the matter is that they both did something wrong in college that effected their draft stock. mixon got through it pretty well why wouldn’t mixon be a good role model if he was still on this team???
