George Grant, publisher and Founder of Housing Technology, speaks to George Clarke, architect & TV presenter. In this exclusive interview George talks about the huge importance of design and space utilisation and the key role that technology plays in todays housing association.
The fifth Housing Technology conference took place at the end of February 2014 for the second consecutive year the Q Hotels' Oxford Belfry. After the pre-event drinks reception on Tuesday 25 February, the conference opened the following day with a fascinating keynote presentation from George Clarke, Channel 4's presenter of 'Restoration Man'.

2:45 + is the definition of a utilitarian argument. Not saying it in a bad way, just that it's unusual to move the argument away from the human suffering and towards the practical knock-on effect for society. But I suppose both the context and the audience may be appropriate for that kind of argument...
