Yesterday, we brought you an update on Ugandan Award-winning Author currently on the run - Kakwenza Rukira-bashaija after a Ugandan Court issued an arrest warrant for having fled the country.
Kakwenza was charged with insulting President Yoweri Museveni and his son shortly after Christmas with "offensive communication" in his book “The Greedy Barbarian", which describes high-level corruption in a fictional country.
After undergoing torture and leaving for dead before finally gaining respite, Kwakwenza snuck out of Uganda without the notice of his oppressors. We had an exclusive chat with the author a few hours ago and here is half of the interview.
