It would have looked good if the crane on the tail had been yellow. It looks sterile and very dull without any yellow. Please @Lufthansa, revise this livery and bring back some yellow, it's your signature.

Theo 737 No excitement whatsoever. My 3 pups could come up with a livery that at least had paw prints.

Not bad color job on this big boy. Hope it comes to Boston Logan international airport this summer, so I can spot it at castle island

A historic moment well captured... But if I was Qantas I would sue! A blatant copy of the classic Qantas scheme.

I like it about as much as Air Canada's new livery...which means not at all. They "fixed" something that wasn't broke. Change for the sake of change is nothing more than a waste of money.

Anyone who admits to have liked the former Air Canada " Flying Condom" livery can not be held for credible - The company regained back their senses and now look like a serious airline again ( Thank you Air Canada!) - The new LH livery also looks elegant. There`s a saying here in Germany that says" If you don`t go with the time, you have to go with time" ..........

What a silly comment. The AC toothpaste livery was not everyone's cup of tea but it symbolized the cold north. The new AC livery has too much black and is a boring Delta copy. Black is not a Canadian colour. And the mask makes it look like a racoon from the front. A truly terrible livery. This LH livery is Eurowhite dull and a copy of Qantas. At least paint the engine covers blue and the Kranich yellow. Wasted money when they should improve the hard product and their service. Boring!

At the end of the day you can`t argue about colors nor taste - If you consider the mass of airlines around, nothing remains unique and you know it , so the Qantas argument don`t count either....Look back at the 70s as 90% of the airlines had the cheat line on the window row and nobody cared if it was "copied".. You and thousand others may hate the new LH livery, however thousand others will approve and like it so what`s the point - It wont change anyway and in somewhat of a year, no one will care anymore! LOL

lufthansa b747-8 from frankfurt to tokyo haneda airport can not wait.

its too plain and not much of a change..too bland/too simple..they are stuck in their ways and can't seem to adjust to change.. 4 out of 10 for me

Die haben einen guten Job gemacht; die Marketingstrategen von EMIRATES und ETIHAD. Ist ein bisschen wie damals, als BMW einen Engländer als Design-Chef erhielt. War der nicht von Rover? ;) Hässlicher konnte man Autos nicht designen; die Verkaufszahlen gingen den Bach runter. Die neue LH-Lackierung ist hübsch für einen Privat-Jet, aber "never change a winning team" sieht anders aus. Gelb muss bleiben. Tradition ist nicht Anbetung der Asche, sondern Erhaltung des Feuers. Es sieht irgendwie aus wie SWISS, ohne AIR. Amputiert, wäääh. My five cent.

Ach, der selbsternannte Luftfahrtexperte wieder, der trotzdem nur eine Meinung von vielen vertritt und in den meisten seiner Kommentare einfach nur der LH ans Bein pissen möchte. Die unruhigen bis verspielten Etihad- und Emirateslackierungen finde ich z.B. häßlich. LH kauft deshalb auch nicht weniger oder mehr Flugzeuge bei Boeing, sie haben es ja selbst so gewollt, und potenzielle Fluggäste machen die Wahl ihrer Fluggesellschaft wohl auch kaum vom Außenanstrich abhängig. Das haben ja zum Glück nichtmal die Passagiere der gescheiterten Swissair gemacht mit ihren grauenhaften braunen Streifen. Nichtmal das war den Bünzlis zu häßlich.

@EmKa66: Gutester, relax. Ich bin nicht etwa "selbsternannter Luftfahrtexperte" sondern ein einfacher Pilot. Die Lufthansa finde ich nach wie vor die BESTE Airline der Welt. Ich bin für einige Airlines geflogen, auch für LH. Im Gegenzug finde ich Emirates und Etihad, Qatar etc. nicht besonders gut oder safe, sondern einfach unanständig. Unanständig deshalb, weil sie, wie die Low Cost Carriers Ryanair, easyJet u.s.w. eine Infrastruktur benutzen, welche von den Flag-Carriers aufgebaut und auch bezahlt wurde. Kommt dazu, dass die Golf-Airlines fast nix für ihren Sprit bezahlen. Ich flog auch in den Emiraten, übrigens. Ich wollte in meinem Post nur zum Ausdruck bringen, dass ich die Lackierung nicht besonders mag. Nach wie vor. Grüsse. "Bünzli" R.

The time was overdue to change it. Kudos to the management who broke the apathy and recognized the sign of the times - Give it half or one year and people are going to love it.

Talk about lazy. Maybe if it had the correct blue and yellow in the icon it would be acceptable. This just looks cheap.

Firdaus Rahman here at Rome we have a painting hangar ex Alitalia in use of IAC (the most important company in the world for painting aircraft). This hangar can host all aircraft except the 380. In the past Alitalia was the major in the sky and Rome was a important maintenance center of europe (all check, maintanance engine, painting).

Flugzeug Dokus....no cheap! Opportunity. At Rome, IAC just painted: 345 President of Azerbaigian, 748 Qatar Vip, 748 Royal Maroc. No cheap but opportunity or simply....best place for painting a big aircraft. :)

The ugly scheme looks like cheap airlines where the yellow signature ??

The crane in yellow and it would be perfect. Boring livery.

It makes me laugh the way people are reacting to the new Lufthansa livery as if its their own airline, thats what they've chosen so get over it!! Ok the new scheme could have done with another colour but it looks smart and modern. The same people bitching about the new colours will be same ones clicking like crazy with their cameras when they see it in the flesh!!

Hate it! There was NOTHING wrong with the old livery!

Oh wow, what a white disaster. Looks terrible. Where is the Lufthansa (patented) yellow gone?...

even the Iberia new livery stands out compared to this rubbish the old is much better they should have kept the yellow crane or atleast painted the underbelly blue it's far too bland

Extremely bland and will look awful once a few trips are done. Obviously a decision by a very ill informed committee
