People underestimate how much of an engineering marvel this really is. For a bridge built this far out at sea, to withstand all the natural forces and still have an estimated life of 120 years is nothing short of a miracle. I know this because i was an Embedded Systems Engineer on the project.

We started the survey of this bridge alignment in 2004 when I was working in a private firm as a geophysicist. Since then there were lot of changes in the alignment of the bridge considering the ecological factors and other socio-economic factors. I am no longer in Mumbai now.. but seeing this project coming to a logical conclusion is a proud moment for me too.

Eknath shinde was minister of msrdc from 14 to 19 so though he became cm only in 2022 but he is in msrdc , mmrda road building affairs since 14 under leadership of fadnavis. Funding comes from finance ministry so u should have also thanked nirmala sitharaman. This was entirely state project so major credit goes to फडणवीस government

Lol! let's compare some stats : National debt on the government of India: 2004-2014 - National debt grew from 49.20 to 55.87 lakh crore - 13.58% increase 2014-2023 - National debt grew from 55.87 to 161.10 lakh crore - 188.36% increase and to offset this debt poor and middle class pay 85% of GST and inflated prices. -------- Per Capita Income Average Annual Growth Rate 2003-2013 7.40% 2013-2023 4.27% So even though population increase was more in UPA term the growth in Per Capita Income grew more at 7.40% v/s 4.27% in the last 10 years. -------- In 2014 India’s Global Hunger Index ranked 55 out of 120 countries (score 17.8). Union government and modi has nothing to do with the bridge cause they wanted to focus on samruddhi mahamarg highway so they refused to pass the bill and as it was uddhav thackrey's dream project so he passed the bill from mmrda in 2017 and started the construction of the bridge, it took 7 years to build the bridge and 17000 crore rupees approx. No role of central government in this project 🙏

Its foundation stone was led by PM modi in 2016 and work commenced in 2018. Centre govt also played a role here

India we live in western metrics of success, which comes at cost of human values and nature, and result of 4 million species extinct out of 12 million species in 150-200 years due to western idea of comfort. Do we really want that kind of success that feeds and comforts on cost of other lives and species ?? How happy is the world?? West false glorification of themselves? The world is controlled by west, people should question at what cost are they doing it. They fought world wars on looted money. India was attacked for 2000 years. We will improve not on western defination of success. Even though old India had best science,medicine, economy, sport, construction. Central government has not given any finance. Central goverment is only going to give Gujarat. It is all of the Maharashtra Government money.

Its foundation stone was led by PM modi in 2016 and work commenced in 2018. Centre govt also played a role here

India we live in western metrics of success, which comes at cost of human values and nature, and result of 4 million species extinct out of 12 million species in 150-200 years due to western idea of comfort. Do we really want that kind of success that feeds and comforts on cost of other lives and species ?? How happy is the world?? West false glorification of themselves? The world is controlled by west, people should question at what cost are they doing it. They fought world wars on looted money. India was attacked for 2000 years. We will improve not on western defination of success. Even though old India had best science,medicine, economy, sport, construction. India didn't go further, as going ahead at the cost of other is not development, at the cost of nature. External seeking after limit leads to destruction inner seeking leads to divine.

Yes really happy to such good development finally. I hope soon they look at our highways and road condition in Mumbai. There are several pot holes in middle of Western express. There should be a body of govt to just make our road safe. These broken roads are very dangerous. Pls fix them

For those who think Central Government has role to play in the construction of the Mumbai Trans Harbour Line....In actual it is built by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) with the 2.2 billion USD investment .....

One of classmates has been project engineer way back 2019 when it just started drilling and structural work. He used to go around 8 am and came back after 12 hours. They worked under highly hot and humid condition of the sea. We are proud of him

Colour of the sidewalls can be changed, they can paint it with rainbow colours 🌈 later on. But building te bridge was first and foremost important .

@@vedhh7727 this is not about just this bridge. All over India they are painting this way. Nowhere in the world would you see this awkwardness. Also painting this way takes more effort. Not sure why they deliberately ruining the appearance of our highways.

It's really a wonderful way make the people of this nation proud to be an Indian thankyou Modiji government for providing a line make them please every moment.

Developing a sea link is okay but what about the internal roads in the main city which people need to use to commute to their offices. Traffic situation on internal roads is getting worse by the day in most of the major cities in India especially pune and bangalore. An average citizen is spending around 30 to 40 hours per week in traffic jams after the pandemic. There is a dire need for green lighting hybrid cars that can fly so people can have faster commutes to work within the city limits because there is perennial traffic jam in the main city internal roads.

China has thousands of such bridge. They don't overhype it. But Indians are going crazy for a single bridge in India.
