Stockholders wield enormous influence and the Disney family have been key and prominent supporters of Iger and the woke stupidity at Disney. They actively campaigned against allowing new candidates on the board three months ago, and Abigail Disney and her siblings wrote to all shareholders expressing gushing support for Iger and the current management. Abigail also wrote an open letter to the NYT, expressing strong support for the job Iger has done. The poster was absolutely correct to say that this clueless and privileged woman has been a key mover in the direction that has run Disney into the ground.

You are correct. This woman and her siblings have been very vocal in their support of Bob Iger and have written to all other shareholders and the NYT to support the company's direction.

Billionaires can't grasp what the average American has to do to survive. Not that they care but they need to be shown cost of living and wage and see why so many people are in debt struggling to get by. Wages don't need to be raised, groceries, gas, and living needs to go down .

Prices never go down, ever. BUT the rate of growth of inflation can come down if we don’t flood the economy with trillions of borrowed printed money. Inflation was at a very low 1.4% when Biden took office. It went up to 9.6% 2 years after Biden flung 6 trillion into the economy and now it’s running at almost twice Jerome Powell’s goal of 2%. In other words we’ve had the worst inflation in 40 years under Biden and prices are still going up but not as fast as 1.5 years ago

How much of my Disney ticket goes to Democratic Party. All people that despise the Democrat party should think about this before buying a ticket.

On a side note I can't help to notice how symbolic the "Disney heiress" is for a very large part of the public. A spoiled brat who hates her grandfather and his "bigoted views" but sure likes her inheritance and all the comfort and fame that comes with it...

The level of disconnect that these oligarchs have from the reality of every day Americans is disgusting. They keep on just saying how amazing the last 4 years have been. And for most of us, we live in a different universe apparently.

Hope Disney does continue to withhold donations. The bigger issue is that Corporations are removing the thinly vailed facade Hierarchy in which Corporations run the country and politicians are the scapegoats that have to prove they will bend the knee to be in office. They stall and dismantle regulations to give the illusion of action and slow any progress. Like owning a car with no engine, yea you can say you have a car but it doesn't work.

This woman is right, billionaires like her need to have no influence in politics and she shouldn't have any platform. Too bad you gave her one.

It's clear that The Walt Disney company has massively turned into a propaganda machine for certain ideological viewpoints, viewpoints which she clearly holds. Therefore, she is absolutely to blame for the direction the company has gone in, but she is one out of many to blame.
