EXCITING PLANS FOR SUMMER! But First...Boat Projects! Starting with Replacing My Last Old Marine AC!

Big plans are on the horizon for Motor Vessel Aqua-Cultured! I've decided to head south to the Florida Keys for an undetermined amount of time this summer. But first, I have to take care of some important projects on my 34 year old DeFever Trawler. As hot temperatures are rapidly approaching, and since I will be headed to an even more tropical climate, the first order of business is to replace the last of my three original air conditioning units. I am not messing around this year! I refuse to fall victim of the commonly typical cliche situation where one of the old ac's craps out right when things are getting toasty and you need it most. So join me as I tackle ripping the old split air conditioner out of it's tight space and install the brand new Marinaire Self Contained system. And make sure you stay tuned, as I have a lot of great content headed your way. I will be servicing and troubleshooting my fuel filtration and raw water cooling systems for my Ford Lehman Diesel Engines, servicing my Maxwell 3500 Windlass, and hauling the boat out once again for my insurance renewal survey, bottom job, and miscellaneous other projects. Then I will finally be throwing the lines and putting some miles under the this displacement hull as I head to The Florida Keys!

You will want to completely insulate the cold air discharge or you will have lots of condensate.

Hey all you Aqua-Cultured people! First, I want to apologize for the lag time between this video and he last, almost 90 days, sheesh! So to make up for it, I have scheduled two more videos, one going live tonight at 6pm Eastern, and one tomorrow, also at 6pm. I hope you enjoy them, I think the next two are better than this one. One critical comment I need to make about this video, which I realized after watching back again, is that I say the word "so" waaayyyyy too much. It's like the modern day "um". Soooo I am going to make an effort to avoid using that word as much as I can. Feel free to call me out if you catch me using it too much. Of course tonight and tomorrow's videos, errr and maybe the next two don't count since they were already recorded prior to this realization. Thank you all for the great feedback, support, and viewership, it keeps me motivated to keep these videos rolling. I hope you all have a great week! See you out there.

Interesting to follow your floating life experiences. My wife and I lived on a canal boat for 5 years in the UK and keeping the boat warm for 8 months of the year was our need, but a solid fuel stove in the saloon was the answer. Plenty of rain but no hurricanes to worry about in the UK, life afloat where ever you are is the best. Keep making the vids they are great.

So glad you are back, I have been keeping an eye out for ya. Another great DIY video that gives me confidence to possibly get an older boat that may need some tlc.
