He really is one of the most underated living composers.... always love his vision for what music could be.

I love the verse “You search through my mouth to check for gold teeth”! They are my favourite lyrics from any song of all time!

Thank you, Jean-Jacques. Hope you are well. We've been working on a new mix of Frescobaldi's Toccata for the last 6 days (we tried about 3-4 versions at the start before settling on one). I think (who knows?) after various tries, it is one of the few pieces (don't want all of them to be like this) that could be played equally in a club like tape on a Friday night as in a cinema on Saturday the next morning at 11. Not that anyone goes to clubs, or cinemas right now. All the best, R

Hello t.t. I sort of saw it, at the start, like a live/or unplugged recording just re-exploring the songs at a different time. Once I start looking at them they didn't end up being "live"/"unplugged" (well...one or two did). But I still wanted them to be perhaps slower, darker, older, cinematic in a more brooding way. But the same idea applies: it's closer to how I might perform some of them live.

I know Rob never liked this album but it was formative for me. I love you Rob, man. edit: holy fuckin shit awesome
