Dude who taught me to operate machines had me doing this from day one and made me use it constantly making a big deal of it. I've never done it any other way, until I got out on site with other newbies I didn't realise how valuable it was that he had been so strict about it!

My 2 1/2 year GrandBoy absolutely loves heavy equipment. Operators are always amazed at his hand shake & willingness to get it. The other day when an Operator offered him to help he jumped right at it. Left the man speechless. Lots of years ahead, but something is telling me this Lad is going to Wildland FireFighter Equipment Operator. Nothing quite like seeing those D7’s in action with rolling flames 🔥 coming at ‘em.

you loose it a bit and pull out the string, remove the grease tube and put the new one in proper side, put the top back and dont screw it all the way(put it at half so there is stil somel air flow), after that put the string all back in and the last part to tight the top end and youre ready to grease your excevator👍

I’m not an experienced equipment operator by any stretch of the imagination…ran some stuff at a friends farm sometimes helping out, just little stuff like that…but my folks had a spot in their yard that liked to flood when it rained…so they rented a miniex and asked me to dig a trench to lay some corrugated tube as a drainage. Well, my mom is very wary of excavators (she had an uncle who rolled one over and died.) and she’s out there watching me work, and I’m doing my jump turns, and she’s freaking out every time (guess me picking the front of the machine up and swinging the carriage around was just too much for her), and finally I’m like ‘would you rather I just do this?’ Bucket in the air, just right toe forward, left heel down, just ripped the hell out of the yard with the tracks. (She’s quite picky about the yard, likes her grass pretty.) She then decided she was ok with my jump turns 😂

I will be a new excavator operator when we take delivery of a Kubota KX033-4 in about ten days. I have never operated an excavator before (I operated a vintage 610 Bobcat skit steer for about 7 years), so I have been binge-watching excavator how-to videos the last several days. I just want to confirm what I have been seeing, and it seems like an easy way to remember how to do a jump turn: move the swing joystick to the side of the tread lever that is going forward. Do I have that right? Thank you!

Over time this can lead to cracked welds, boom plate, and as pins get looser this can slightly bend cylinders and damage seals. Only employees do this. No real owner operator will do this if hes a good one. Use you're drive motors its what they're designed for boom are meant for weight up and down not sideways
