Knightly qualities - Courage, Compassion, Loyalty, and Humility - ultimately stand on Truth - and are undermined by lies. Arthur refuses to face the truth of Lancelot and Guinevere’s mutual love & desire; and he refuses to give Guinevere her due as her husband. Morgana understands all this, and so she manipulates love & desire to bring Lancelot and Guinevere together, to imprison Merlin, and to seduce her brother Arthur. Thus, destroying the bonds of fellowship upon which Camelot is built.

Is that uncomfort due to the sex scene of the man in playe armour and the girl?. Don't fret, for that girl the director John Bohrman was filming is his DAUGHTER!...yes. Besides, humans are creatures ridden by an angel or the devil (cant remember who said that...not my idea). We are good & bad. Spiritual and yet beasts. The film depicts that quite well-how humans strive for perfection and yet are vulnerable to earthly desires. I believe Bohrman's daughter also holds her hand up to catch the sword. I was shocked when my theater professor said this was one of his favorite films!.

The thing is we are all liars. Was it Plato that said about "the noble lie"? We are all liars and hypocrites. Every single one of us that were put on this earth. The trick is trying not to be one.

John Boorman

Marc De Douvan Trop vrai.

Really, Merlin was taking his own advice, by candidly stating the truth, which led to another truth, albeit manipulated by Morgana for ill.

No easy task for them to get divorced as a king and queen alas. Henry VIII came much later and had to cause much uproar and craziness when he did it.
