It may be fake but I've seen it done before. Some lady abandoned her kids and got a good paying job taking care of a useless man compared to her ex husband then she was threatened with child support and sold her car, got a lower paying job and took one of the children on her taxes that she wasn't taking care of so she can continue enjoying life. I never want to marry because I have trust issues so hopefully I find a woman in another country that is loyal.

Not true. Court has guidelines they must follow. They can't assign based on potential. This will be thrown out on appeal. They can raise your monthly if you refuse to pay but that can be reduced back

My mom worked for the states child support services and she will tell you that women are MORE LIKELY to do this. Not all, just more likely. Quit jobs. Intentionally get fired or get thrown out of their homes to claim homelessness. In all the years she worked there, she said men are more willing to struggle and pay it than when women have to. Even when it's a grandparent taking the kids. It would piss off the whole department when the courts would let them get away with it.

(Not to this extreme, they are not that qualified for starters but still) They'd rater live on the streets than having a bit more for them self if it means that their ex and child gets more monney... (I don't know how messed up the mom is, but for the child it's a nightmare and I think no level of disgust for your ex is reason enough to a) not support your child and b) get anything decent out of your life, even if you still will have not much because you have to give away more in childsupport and are left with not much, it's healtier to have a bit more than doing nothing and just be grumpy)

That's a lot of money for even making $70,000 pre-tax. After tax and insurance you're bringing home $58,000 a month. Assuming you have to have a two bedroom for your kids room, you're looking at $1,500 to $1,700 a month in rent.. Like...thats unreasonable, especially if you're splitting costs when you're married.

Even with at least 1,900 in rent or mortgage a month and 900 a month in child support, she would still have over 2,000 left over for anything else she wants to spend her money on. Depending on where someone lives, you could potentially afford a really nice house or apartment for 1900 a month.

We'd have to know what the custody arrangement is to make a better judgment on what's fair, but I'd assume based on how much she's paying in child support she probably only has them on weekends or every other weekend. $900/month doesn't go that far raising a child.

Why would a woman would pay child support to a spineless man for her children. She should have a full custody of her children. If the father is so spineless and would rely on her. The children should be in hee custody.

My friends dad pretended like he didn’t make any money while he worked under the table just so he wouldn’t have to pay as much in child support. Such a jerk move. Ladies, be and marry a a Godly person don’t be a fool and sleep with fools.

My X tried this, and found out very fast the courts would not settle for his BS. You can't quit a job to avoid paying child support.

That's NOTHING when raising a child! Try raising a child or even childcare for less than $240/ week. Pathetic childsupport amount regardless of what she makes

Also the lady did what most men do also because the amount she is set to pay is the bare minimum, if she was still making $70k it would be closer to $1600 a month. Because the judge can't rule on what she once made annually only what she currently makes annually, and that amount won't change until three years later. So the mom can now get a 70k or higher job and still pay the minimum for at least three years.

I'd love to understand or even feel the connection a mother must have after all that time carrying, feeling every kick, all the work involved to deliver etc, I'd love to understand the feeling, then you see women like this who don't do ish for her kids.....

Ehhh we don't know the story. A lot of the time the ex was abusive and kept all the money so won custody in court and now you've gotta pay your abusive ex who uses the kids against you. I volunteer at a women's shelter and I see this A LOT.
