    Thanks for the video. I take #613 in to Tesla every year for regular maintenance and it still runs great with no issues . Every time I take it the new employees always want to see it

    To avoid import taxes, a few years back, many illegal imports took cars apart, ship them in different containers, different dates and put them together later. Vietnam & China were 2 well known destination. They even cut the chassis in half to avoid local enforcement's attention.

    It’s fairly common for those containers to get opened for “inspection” and then left open over night as they will open certain containers in groups.

    Great video… the service in the outtakes about the service are dead on. My new MYP with 900 miles has a completing broken passenger seat forced all the way forward. Nobody can ride in the seat. 6 weeks wait to get it looked at.

    Alabama Power / Southern Company owned 2 roadsters. They still have the red one and bring it out on occasion but their orange one was totaled. I’ve always wondered what happened to it. This was a really cool video!

    SUPURB EPISODE! Carl is precisely correct about no Roadsters ever caught fire without dumb human assistance. When proper handling and technical processes are followed, these batteries are safe. Roadster battery associate, technician, trainer 2008-2024. We changed the world.

    Honestly, I always say that Elon is a masterpiece at what he does though I would never want to work for him given how much I value my personal time. All the original Tesla founders like him are a gem and it’s just amazing to hear these stories and mysteries. Proudly made in the USA 🇺🇸

    I agree with him , and I still say it to this day, electric vehicles wouldn’t exist if Elon never pushed it, especially if he never invested into Tesla , we would all still be driving gas vehicles talk about engines and gas prices. That’s something that so many e, especially Elon haters , forgot. Every EV being designed, developed, manufactured, and sold , is a direct answer to Elon’s challenge, especially when Tesla designed the Model S.

    I bet the slow charging “european” charger was to prevent the battery from discharging too far… those batteries bricked if they went too low… only reason to trickle charge other than, it’s the only power you have. But with such low mileage, they obviously weren’t trying to go anywhere….

    Parts removed from the China Roadsters were likely for counterfeiting purposes. Bumper spares for crash vehicles at low cost.

    This is a fantastic video. That will for sure make it into my "top5 videos on electric cars june 2024" and it will be my top choice. This is fascinating and I loved every minute. The guy is a legend and you know how to ask the right questions. Does anyone know where the roadster is that Harvey Specter drove in Suits? That could also be quite a celebrity 🎉 If I had remotely the money, I would get a roadster as a fun car.

    Absolutely leave all the body damage or corrosion. That’s all characteristics of the vehicle and its legacy and history. We already know what it looks like new, we want to see it in its raw authentic self.

    Thank you for a great video. I think that the body parts came from a car that was originally shipped to England or Europe and that's where the Shuko charger comes from and possibly where the rodents got in.

    The 10% rule was popularized by Welch? at Ge? he had a theory that it put pressure on those who remained behind. I see more than 10% of people in companies that have no clue what they are doing easily. The issue is to find them when even managers are in that pool (mostly)

    Those cars were dismantled for simple reasons. In china? what do you expect? reverse engineering. bingo. 2 cars were for some big guy and one was for reverse engineering. This guy is super smart. It shows the caliber of guys working/worked for Ellon.
