A lovely place

Such a gorgeous town!!! I think I have officially watched all your videos. So great! My husband and I are teachers and artists in the US, middle class incomes, and have dreamed of owning a home in Europe. Especially Italy...off the beaten path. We were both raised on the ocean and now live in the mountains and miss the ocean. We are hoping to buy a home that we could rent out when we are not there. We've looked in Pollutri and Casalbordino but we also love Casalanguida and Tufillo.....The places closer to the sea are more expensive but would get better rentals and the closer to the mountains properties are cheaper but might not rent. Hmmmmm. A conundrum, indeed. Hoping to get over there soon, COVID has made it impossible, but we are still dreaming. Thanksa gain for these videos. It makes me feel like a World traveler from my little house in Colorado.

Thanks for your great comments and stay tuned there are plenty more on the way. The Covid restrictionists here make it impossible to do any town visits but hopefully that will change very soon, possibly this communing week. I will be out and about, so you might see even more places that take your fancy. I know how difficult it is to choose, rentals can be an issue but at the end of the day, it’s your special place, so go with your heart. When people ask me, I always quote Mrs Stick when she came up with the perfect answer, “it doesn’t matter where you choose, it’s all beautiful”.

I hope not to be a spoilsport, but please if you‘d like to get an old building, have it checked out carefully by an ingeneer first - the frequenzy of earth quakes in the Abruzzi is high and I suspect, quite a few of these cracks shown in the clip originate from there. I hope you can fulfill your dream though, thinking of doing something similar when we retire, but coming from the country just north of Italy.

It’s really is beautiful, even better on a summers day.

Really interesting to listen to how much you like an area that my paternal grandparents left to come to America for better opportunities in life.... Yes they were very much in favor of "peace and quiet" and had great pride in doing things correctly...keeping up their property... I lived abroad for two years...but just never had a real desire to live in Italy. Still do not....however, I too appreciate the sentiment you share through video You exemplify how each person must seek their dream....and it will be different for each person🕯🙏🏼🎆

Terrible video of a beautiful town in Molise not Abruzzo. Abruzzo e Molise was divided by the Italian government in 1963. The province of Chieti is in Molise.
