Just look at how much these players are paid. It’s a shame. I’ll rather go and farm than be a football player in Ghana.

I’m surprised about some people still supporting Ogum. He might be a good coach but his man management is poor, we are going to buy new set of players and when we fail to win the league he sacks them again??

Attn Samuel Appiah: You have made your point and I like your courage and honesty. It is an open secret that the coach is 'quick-tempered", and doesn't know how to groom players whom he doesn't like or those he disagrees with, among other factors. However, your analysis falls flat because there are too many flaws. You have made a one-sided presentation without saying any of the bad characters that most of your players put up against the coach and management. Most of you players are stubborn and disrespectful to the coach. Your body language and facial expressions clearly show you lack humility and have a bad feeling about the coach. For example, you said in football, "A coach doesn't play football...players are those who play the ball". Ah, how can you make such an unimportant statement? Who doesn't know that players are those who are on the pitch to play the ball? Your perception that players are those who play the ball lacks strong analysis because if the coach is not hired to recruit players, will the players come? Again, if the coach doesn't take the players to the training ground and train them, does any player have the power to do that? Further, if the coach doesn't tell each player which position to play or if he doesn't select a player, can a player go to the pitch and play? Do you think the great and wise King Otumfuo doesn't know why he spent hefty money to hire and pay the coach? You did not show total and absolute truth because Ghanaians know the shortcomings of Dr. Coach Ogum and I have criticized him constructively on other platforms many times just as I defend him when it's due. You couldn't speak about the bad, poor attitude and unprofessional characteristics of most of you the players. It's an open secret and evident in Kumasi that most of the players were stubborn and did not obey most of the instructions the Coach and IMC officials gave to the players. For example, it's said that most of the players were at night clubs, and beer bars--drinking, smoking, womanizing, sleeping too late, and bringing their girlfriends (concubines) to the clubhouse where it's alleged that girlfriends of the players used to jump wars at wee-hours. Because you're an ex-player of Kotoko, you have spoken nicely just to defend players and printed the pictures that Coach Dr. Ogum is an evil man who doesn't know his left from right. As a learned professor with a Doctorate degree, do you think he can ALWAYS swallow and overlook all the childish foolishness of most of the players? How can Kotoko players grow and get better clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Man City, Man U, Arsenals, Barcelona, etc. to play when they don't want to obey simple instructions? For example, do you think it is ok for a young boy like Zeze to always disrespect Coach Dr. Ogum and tell the coach to sit down or tell him to stop yelling and giving instructions to players when they are playing? Isn't the coach's job to be on his feet to offer instructions to the players during matches to guide the players to play well and win games? Who at all is Zeze to tell the coach what to do or ask the coach to talk to tell him (Zeze) what he wants to hear? In which professional club can that happen? Most of the players hatched an evil and demonic plan to send Kotoko to relegation--merely because of the hate they have against the coach and it took the wise King Otumfuo to salvage that dark horse agenda. If Otumfuo had not intervened, Kotoko would have been relegated. Why do you think these same players started winning games after having gone to Manhyia's Palace? To wit, the players were bad and did NOT play like professional players. Nobody is begging them to play for Kotoko and I wish them well wherever they're going. A confirmed report says Zeze never respected the coach and was habitually tardy (late) to training but he didn't see anything wrong about that. In Europe and other places, when top-notch players like Rolando, Mbappe, Messi, etc. get to training late, their managers reduce their salaries and punish them with uncountable running. Most of you players were playing unknown minnow clubs and were paid very scanty (too little) salaries but you played hard for those minnow clubs to win laurels. So what at all bewitched Ghanaian players who join Kotoko to be too stubborn or stay too late in the city and enjoy alcohol and women and joke with the hearts of millions of Kotoko fans? Do you think that is fun and fair? You should have been bold and absolutely honest to make an overview of the problems facing Kotoko. Sadly, you made and chose an analysis. If you had spoken against the bad conduct of the players, I would have taken you as a fair-minded analyst. As much as I don't agree with the coach for the exodus of almost 22 players, I don't think the coach is only the problem. The fans, players, management, and Manhyia are all part of the problems of Kotoko and we must all accept our demerits iron out our differences, and see a better Kotoko this season. Talk less and stop saying you will never come back and play for Kotoko again because the future is unknown. Faaaaaaabulous, Se Wo Kum Apem A, Apem Beba.

Most of the problems faced by Asante Kotoko is partly due to the unprofessional and unproductive approach of some Sports journalists in the Country. When you adopt a one sided approach to interviews what do you hope to achieve. You Journalists can help Ghanaian players to develop their skills instead of this approach. Where in the world can players dictate what their training schedule should be. Indiscipline and non performance is the order of the day. Just make a thorough investigation about players in Hearts and Kotoko and you will realize what i am saying. When players refuse to renew their contract can a team be blamed for it .Football management is not an easy thing coupled with the fact that gate proceeds are nothing to write home about. These negative one sided interviews like this won't help anyone. If we want our football to develop players need to be disciplined, humble, train hard and avoid complacency. You journalists can help Kotoko by avoiding these distractions. Kotoko is bigger than any player who comes to the team and the interest of the team comes first in everything. To get a fair view of things please Mr.Journalist go to the Kotoko Secretariat to cross whatever this player is saying.

He was outstanding at Medeama. He came to Kotoko with high expectation but couldn't perform. Nettey was above him in terms of performance. My issue is that, he has admitted that his performance at Medeama was weigh ahead of that of Kotoko. So since you have admitted you underperformed at Kotoko, why do you have to blame Coach Prosper Nertey Ogum for not enjoying regular playing time?
