🛑Media should investigate why Mr Komuro could be admitted and study Fordham University School of Law without LSAT nor law degree. HP of Fordham University School of Law says "It is NOT allowed to transfer from LLM to JD" But he did! Was this a Royal Magic? At the same time, MitsubishiUFJ Bank donated 3 million to Fordham University School of Law. Mr. Komuro had financial support from Okuno Law Firm, but still he was awarded Martin Scholarship from Fordham University School of Law. Martin Scholarship should be awarded for a student who does NOT have financial support (The description of Martin Scholarship says somebody with financial support cannot get it.) . Be careful about Kei Komuro who is a husband of former princess Mako. He did a lot of terrible things. I feel very sad that the Japanese people who oppose this marriage are misunderstood. Due to the following facts that English news does not report, we Japanese learned of Kei's repeated lies. Because of that, we objected him to become a relative of our Imperial Family (the symbol of Japan; existing by the trust, respect, and taxes from people): When this money problem between Kei's mother and her ex-fiance was discovered (2017), Kei was asked by Akishino (Mako's father), which he replied "I didn't know about this at all." However, Kei himself joined the meeting about this money problem with his mother and her ex-fiance, then recorded the conversation (2012). Kei, who was ordered to explain to the public by Akishino, created "Komuro Document" by quoting only a part of the recorded data and published it (April 2021). He turned the ex-fiance into a liar, claimed it was not a debt but a gift. Immediately after that, the ex-fiance submitted all the recorded data, then we found out that Kei was a liar. Only four days after Komuro Document was released, Kei changed his attitude and announced his intention to pay the settlement fee. However, after that, though the ex-fiance proposed a discussion for the settlement fee, Kei kept refusing it and ignoring him. Six months after the announcement of the intention of the settlement fee, Kei forced the marriage without solving anything (October 2021). At the press conference immediately after the marriage (October 26, 2021), Kei said, "Occasionally, my mother and I have expressed to her ex-fiance our gratitude." "I received a positive response from him regarding the negotiations." However, the ex-fiance later announced "There is no such fact in either case." After getting married, Kei finally met him just before he went to the United States and "agreed to pay a settlement fee" (November 2021), but the source of the money is not disclosed. In addition, Mako announced at the press conference after marriage that "I let Kei do that to his mother's ex-fiance since 2017." Also, Kei got a job at a high-end bank in Tokyo (although he quit it soon), entered a national graduate school, studied abroad in New York with a grant (Only one student can get the scholarship at Fordham University, but Kei didn't pass the bar exam though many of his classmates passed), and lived in New York for years. These unfair and costly lifestyle was helped by Akishino (through his friends). On the other hand, the ex-fiance ran out of money due to Kei's studying abroad at UCLA (2012) and the numerous luxurious demands by Kei's mother, he became unable to pay his mortgage and sold his house and car. He is now still working for a living in his 70s. About Kei's mother, she commits Survivor's pension fraud and Sickness/Injury benefits fraud. But the police doesn't investigate her though they arrest other people for the same crimes. These unfairness and abuse of power by the Imperial Family violate the Constitution of Japan. We Japanese have lost a great deal of trust and respect for our Imperial Family in the last few years. We feel hopeless the Imperial line will be moved to the Akishino family after the current Emperor retires.

I disagree, royalty is comprised of a family that live up to the values of a country to serve as an example to their subjects, to a level they ought to aspire to. This is extremely difficult and perhaps selfless in nature as you have to do the most un-human thing; to be politically neutral and uphold the values of society without exception nor compromise, even if they are not popular. You are only lesser to a monarch if you fail to live up to the standards they are expected to live by everyday from the day they inherit the crown to death.

It would be grateful if non Japanese people have better understanding about ex-Princess Mako and Kei Komuro based on the objective facts that broad range native Japanese are aware of but non native Japanese may not. The difference of the awareness is probably due to the language barrier between Japanese and English. This is an attempt of the explanation for non Japanese people. It is very true that majority of Japan citizens are anxious about the marriage of Mako and Kei Komuro since Japanese people are aware that there are unreasonably many suspicious things around them, mostly derived from Komuro family side. Typically, the next things are concerned a lot:- 1. There were multiple deaths around Kei Komuro’s mother within a short period. Kei Komuro’s father passed away by killing himself (suicide). Soon after that, Kei’s grandfather also did suicide. Later, within a year, Kei Komuro’s grandmother passed away. It is said that Komuro family’s financial difficulties, poor finance and property succession matters as well, were behind. Who inherited the properties after these deaths within surprisingly short term? It can be guessed easily. 2. There are doubts of Kei Komuro’s mother’s unlawful acceptance of survivors’ pension for years, cumulative amount approximately US$200K. Since there is a law that the survivors’ pension must be terminated once the widow gets married again or starts to live on cohabitation, namely shares day-to-day living and finance with somebody. There are multiple media articles that Kei’s mother actually had started to live on cohabitation but still she has been receiving the pension until today. Preparations of the accusation are actively in progress led by a Japanese journalist and it was also mentioned during the press conference where Mako and Kei Komuro appeared on October 26 2021. 3. There was a monetary dispute, approximately US$40K, between Kei Komuro’s mother and her ex-fiance. Kei’s mother insisted that it was given to her but ex-fiance insisted that Kei’s mother still has the obligation of paying back to him. It was years-length dispute and one major reason of time consuming progress was that Kei’s mother continued to decline the constructive meeting proposals by ex-fiance due to the reason of her ‘doctor stop’ sickness. It is fact that the dispute was finally resolved by means of the settlement money paid by Komuro family after Kei Komuro formally got married with Mako, eventually after Komuro family finally got a new wallet of Mako. 4. There were Mako’s behaviors that she was eagerly involved in commoners’ financial disputes and stood behind Kei Komuro and Komuro family, while she was still a member of royal family, in the course of the dispute of #3, although Japan royal family must not be involved in commoners’ dispute from the Japanese constitution point of view. Mako confessed and admitted that she did that at the press conference on October 26. All the above monetary troubles are never respectfully recognized by broad range of Japan citizens. Probably, they are viewed as inelegant findings by people outside Japan as well. Furthermore, Kei spent his most recent 3 years to the law study at Fordham University as of 2021 autumn, first one year as a student of LLM course. Since JD degree requires at least 3 years study at JD course and Fordham formally does not allow the transfer from LLM to JD, it is highly likely true that Kei’s position as of today is well before possessing JD degree in spite of the media reports that Kei is pursuing BAR license. It is fact that once the name of Kei Komuro was listed as a Fordham JD graduate but it was quietly erased later. The reason is unknown. This is another objective finding. It implies that Kei’s ability, suitability and eligibility as a lawyer should have been demonstrated in public in a fair manner prior to the marriage. So far, Japan citizens generally had consistent respects on royal family as a symbol of the nation. But now, they are questioning themselves, with rather sad feeling, whether this marriage is really a good idea for Mako herself and Japan citizens’ united respects on royal family. There is a serious concern that the marriage could be a pollution for the relation between royal family and Japan citizens . Since royal family is the symbol of the nation of Japan, it would be very hard for Japan citizens to be indifferent about this marriage.

I’m sure their resident is very expensive plus she will need security for sometime. Maybe they are living in a property owned by the royal family of Japan. . I am really happy for her marriage bcuz it's a big thing if you given up your royal title for an ordinary person like him. And to be honest , whether with him or without that man , it's still worth it bcuz if i was her , i would rather leave the royal family rather than being stuck with never ending traditions and stuck on being a princess due to no female emperor rule in Japan. 'Commoner' means not of noble or royal birth. Those are social not moral ranks. When you refer to her as a woman you're referring to her as a biological entity.
