With regards to Gen. Santiago's claim about Miriam being sick as to why she did not top the bar, that's inaccurate. MDS, on a similar interview with Karen Davila herself on ANC year 2013, Miriam, in response to Sen. Enrile's ad hominem against her, said she almost flunk the bar because she fell in love :) Also, she was vying for a scholarship to Russia which happens to intertwine with the bar exams. So her father did not permit Miriam to go there and instead instructed her to just take the exams. In protest, a 'paternal rebellion' in her own words, she flirted with everyone, even during the exams. (I loled hard at this). Miriam also noted that the questions were 'unintelligible'. Miriam also said topping the bar or placing high is not a good measure on how a lawyer would shape his or her career citing Claro M. Recto, who failed the exam. Just a trivia. ;) #RIPMiriam
