= (-4 - 1)= -5 Explaination: when two negative integrated numbers (-) are calculated, they will get added but the sign doesn't change, it will remain same. (-) So, -4 -1 = "5" and adding negative sign "-" to it makes it -5 And also since we know that • " - " + " - " = " + " but negative sign •Here are some examples to make it clear: (i) -7 - 3 = -10 (ii) -8 - 10 = -18 (iii) -3 - 6 = -9 I hope this helps to understand the concept.
