I remembered watching this as a kid before I watch The Return of the Jedi and had no clue it was related to star wars and I remembered being superhyped when The Ewoks appeared in The Return of the Jedi assisting the Rebels. I remembered screaming “EWOKS!" because I never thought a cartoon character could appear in Live Action. My goodness that was how awesome my childhood was.

EWOKS! Watched this as a super excited 5-year old boy in 1985 when this came on the TV sets at the time.I totally loved Star Wars Back in 1985.I ran home from school to watch this once.It actually made me feel better and at ease more as an Autistic kid to watch anything Star Wars content.I saw Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope as a boy in the 80s and both filled me with endless wonder.The Ewoks song is definitely quite a scarier vibe listening to it today,but I always loved that eery but cool vibe about the Ewoks cartoon.Taj Mahal had a good thing going with this tune!

I was 11 when this was first broadcast in the UK. It was advertised and hyped up for weeks beforehand so mt anticipation was huge. The first episode was a huge disappointment to me because the show was so babyish, it was clearly aimed at kids much younger than 11. Second episode, same. Third episode, I accepted that it wasn't going to get better. Loved the theme tune though. So, as I did with the South Bank Show, I watched the opening credits for the music and then switched over or off.

Same bro, i had a vhs tape with a few episodes. the one with the invisible soap being the most memorable one. But it got stuck in the vhs, and the tape was ruined while that happened. i was so sad

Remember those days where you could only find ONE tape of this at the local blockbuster? Also, remember those days where you were so young that you were pretty okay with that since you'd just watch it over and over again?

And you'd get it home and first have to rewind it before you could even watch it... and you may have only rented the VCR for one night so time was short to get in as many repeat viewings as you could. But being a kid you'd end up being distracted instead by some other random thing like an ant walking across the carpet.

Omg complete nostalgia right now !!!! Watching last Jedi with sin I remembered liking the theme song to the Ewoks cartoon series love both versions

My parents showed me this weird shit when I was a kid and it’s lived in the back of my head ever since, I thought it was just a dream until I found out that this actually exists

Anyone who hadn’t heard the word ‘Ewok’ before would probably be very surprised that this was a Star Wars show.

This theme tune popped into my head this morning so I had to look it up, why I will never know!

Nice, Sadly I never watched this, The opening seems to have a 70’s Vibe, despite being made in the Mid 80’s.

I remember my godfather asking me if i ever watched this when I was THREE in 1990.. He gave me the VHS tapes...a tune got stuck in my head today where i knew half the words still.. and am now here to confirm my suspicions.. Cant remember what i did yesteday but can still pull the Ewoks from my head 30 years later lol.

I remember buying a VHS tape of this show AND IT DIDN'T INCLUDE THE THEME SONG!!! What a cheat.

I saw this a few times As a kid. I had never heard of starwars before that. Imagine my surprise when I finally watch stawars 20 years later and there they are! The E-E-E-EWOKS! I was so stoned when I found that out. 🤣

I was so excited when it was announced this cartoon was coming to CBBC. Was massively disappointed by how babyish it was even to my then-11 year old eyes. Theme tune was an instant classic though. Williams' best work :P

This theme song was cool! I loved that beat!

It's because no one gives a damn about the shows anymore. Back in our day actual CARE was put into them. Things started to start going downhill for me when Reboot(the original) ended. After thst only anime could get my full attention invested.

They air this on ABS CBN in the Philippines as part of the Starwars saga

Yes, Latara was the most attractive in the series. She had a makeover in the second season probably because she looked black. A lot of African-Americans were most likely offended.

I loved watching this. I got Native American ancestry and seeing this made me feel closer to my roots. I deeply appreciate the early society world they depicted with spirituality with all of life, the technology like slings and spears, and the balance they practiced with nature.

I grew up watching the two live action films in heavy rotation as well (obvs) as the original trilogy, and to the best of my knowledge I didn't watch either this or the Droids series, but I decided because of a combination of insomnia and why the heck not to put on the first episode on Disney+ at 3 am and all I can say after that intro is... What the HELL did I just watch? I've never taken a psychedelic drug in my life but now I kinda think I know what they're about and just nope.

I have been searching for the name for this cartoon for years!

I thought I'd imagined this series, I hadn't dreamed it really existed

When I was a kid in 1985 I didn't know much about the Star Wars franchise at all when I saw this. Just thought it was another random saturday morning cartoon with furries lol

better representation of ewoks as opposed to return of the jedi.. of course this did come after. some refinement was expected. we need a new series, ewoks should not be left out of the series.

I never knew about Star wars, but found out about Star Wars from this cartoon :D Didn't like Star wars but this was my fav.

I know that Disney/Lucasfilm doesn't agree with me, but my head canon includes The Ewoks cartoon series, the two live-action Ewoks movies, The Droids cartoon series, The Star Wars Holiday Special, and the Clone Wars 2-D animated series. I also have believed since childhood that the planets shown in "Willow" and "The Dark Crystal" are in the Star Wars Galaxy. 😊❤
