Today I acquired the monitor for this camera system. Found it at work as the owners are cleaning the place out in preparation for sale. Don't know where the cameras are, they may still be tucked away in there. What type of cable does this take? Obviously not a standard RF coaxial cable.

'Normal' 75 Ohm Coax with BNC Connectors. 50 Ohm would be fine too for shorter cable runs.

No exciting mechanical parts like the VCR mechanisms. But it is good to see what is in there.

All that’s needed to get these going is to feed 12v dc into the bnc connection and use a small capacitor to take the video off the positive connection to a monitor this is how masthead amplifiers and microphones are fed
