How hard will it be to tune? Took alot time to break open the mg1 ecu... not sure what ecu this one has....any information would be nice...

Yes the razor pro is only 225 hp as the maverick r is 240 hp

Dont forget that the 2024 Can Am Maverick R is quite a bit heavier as well, compare the curb weights and see.

Well it’s not a replacement for the X3, so it’s not fair saying “previous generation” they still make the X3

Perfectly fair to say as it's an evolution of the X3
400 pounds more weight need at least 50 hp more...hopefully we heare soon what you will offer !!
But SXSBlog said it wasn't that great.
You say the Maverick R's DCT "Opens a new envelope" in the driving experience. The YXZ opened that envelope years ago.

@@ethanmunger3374 I don't recall saying anything about the suspension. You can point out many ways in which the Yxz is inferior, but it's disingenuous to claim the transmission as a new idea . Don't forget the Talon either. I think belts are on the way out.

@geezerracing2895 Respectfully, they're nothing alike. YXZ has/had a clutch pedal and a 5-speed sequential trans and came with 27" tires. MavR is a 7-speed auto DCT that shifts in 0.2 seconds with paddle shifter mode option (yes, I know some models of YXZ have an auto-clutch and paddle shifters). Don't get me wrong, it's FUN to bang thru gears. But, your statement is like comparing the Model T with a RAM TRX, because they both have internal combustion engines. We won't even get into power and suspension. Don't be mad. Don't be willfully ignorant. You're thinking look at the price difference and you are correct - you get what you pay for.

@@turbo-brian if you said ram invented the internal combustion engine we could be having the same discussion. I said the transmission in a sxs is not a new idea; you want to quibble over differences in design. You can't deny my initial assertion. Who is being ignorant? You ignored what I said because you have to dis the Yxz. Keep on yapping.

@grumpyg9350 It's the same thing it always means, the factory is conservative and generic. It's quick because it is 240hp, employs turbo anti-lag measures, and lost the rubberband, but she gained a few pounds. EVP will get the tuning dialed in. I wouldn't be surprised to see 300hp tunes before long. Remember engine displacement grew 10% and the whole approach to the turbo and manifold has been greatly refined. Now, if we could just get the factory to start using the ROTAX 1630 ACE...

@@turbo-brianI agree, this is a completely new engine design literally built for extra power. I'm happy they stayed under the 1.0 as they can still race as a UTV and save the extra weight a bigger motor would bring.
