    I had a similar experience watching a crab spider mend its damaged web. I couldn't explain how it knew from its angle of perception where to precisely cut away strands of its comparatively immense web, and then proceed to repair and reattach the remaining web. It was like watching a precisely programmed machine, albeit a small biological being.

    @@philhart4849I suppose we don't live in the same universe. In the christian universe, good and evil, design and rationality, laws of physics and thermodynamics exist and many other spectacular things and phenomena exist. In the evolutionists' universe, it is the exact opposite. There is no way to meet in the middle, as there can be no understanding between a rational mind and something that came about chaotically. Due to this fact, I doubt this comment will be understood at all. Have a day. I would say a good day, but how would you know what good is to begin with?

    Fascinating. This is akin to the pistol shrimp. The pistol shrimp has a claw that can do extreme damage with a supersonic speed. The claw is so fast it can create extreme effects and temperatures. But these supersonic effects do not show up until the supersonic speed is reached. A fast claw would of course equate to better hunting sucess, but there is no driver or knowledge of the supersonic speed. There is no reaon for the speed to increase to supersonic when the effects are unknown. There also exists a bird who has wings that are decoys of two more birds. One bird spreads its wings and appears to be three birds sitting together. The wings even have decoy beaks. This would make a predator miss the target unless it went for the center bird.

    There is reason though, you said a faster punch equals better success, so those with faster punches are more successful and breed more increasing the speed of the general population's punches, as time goes on the fastest of the fast keep producing more offspring and punches continue to increase speed.

  • @eltomas3634

    @eltomas3634

    7 ай бұрын

    @kevinhank17 So why don't deer run the speed of cheetah? Or all animals run the speed of cheetah? You need more than just filtering out the slow ones. You need complex design and materials to reach supersonic speed. For new materials and new design, you need new proteins, that means new code for newer faster better proteins. At some point there is diminishing returns until the supersonic speed is reached. But there is no concept of supersonic or its effects. Why don't we just see supersonic speeds everywhere if all you need is a filtering of slower organisms? Faster features being better is simply not enough to reach the absurdity of supersonic.

  • @kevinhank17

    @kevinhank17

    7 ай бұрын

    @@eltomas3634 materials have limits. Cheetahs are hunters, they need to be faster than prey. They are barely faster than their prey and only for a very short period of time because it takes an enormous amount of energy to maintain that speed. Life is limited by resources, if an animal could guzzle pure sugar as it runs I'd say that animal could probably evolve to be way faster than a cheetah. Also why do you think that a cheetahs prey runs so fast to begin with? Because cheetahs and other animals want to eat them, so the fastest ones breed more and they get faster over time. Up to the limits of their resources and material strengths of course. It's possible for animals to get as good as they possibly can get at something and just stay there, that's why we have animals and plants that have remained pretty much unchanged for millions of years, because they are a perfect fit for their niche. Also mantis shrimp don't punch at supersonic speeds, they punch at around 50 miles an hour.

We have these supposedly harmless huntsman spiders here- massive things, some very friendly and others wildly grumpy, can't figure them out. I heard a report on the radio just yesterday, a team have used the compounds from a trap door spiders to make insecticides- as they found 3000 compounds in its venom, built without any redundancies/ love to know just how it ' evolved' such a complex venom. *The biology and evolution of spider venoms* Luddecke et al Biological Reviews, Volume97, Issue1, Feb 2022, P 163-178 Abstract: Spiders are diverse, predatory arthropods that have inhabited Earth for around 400 million years. They are well known for their complex venom systems that are used to overpower their prey. Spider venoms contain many proteins and peptides with highly specific and potent activities suitable for biomedical or agrochemical applications, but the key role of venoms as an evolutionary innovation is often overlooked, even though this has enabled spiders to emerge as one of the most successful animal lineages. In this review, we discuss these neglected biological aspects of spider venoms. We focus on the morphology of spider venom systems, their major components, biochemical and chemical plasticity, as well as ecological and evolutionary trends. We argue that the effectiveness of spider venoms is due to their unprecedented complexity, with diverse components working synergistically to increase the overall potency. The analysis of spider venoms is difficult to standardize because they are dynamic systems, fine-tuned and modified by factors such as sex, life-history stage and biological role. Finally, we summarize the mechanisms that drive spider venom evolution and highlight the need for genome-based studies to reconstruct the evolutionary history and physiological networks of spider venom compounds with more certainty

    Science explains that creatures have no express "purpose," but that they developed in a way to enable them to survive. Survival is the purpose, mating and progeny is the purpose of every living thing, even down to the very very tiny (see "microcosmos") though some creatures on that scale can reproduce asexually, they can also exchange genetic information to ensure that they don't fall to something tailored to destroy them, like the gros michel bananas did to the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubens in the 1950s. If there's no development over time, where did COVID-19 come from? How do Vaccines work and why should we get a new flu shot every year? Where have the new year's varieties of diseases been hiding? If you deny evolution, you deny the flu

They are being decieved. Don't get me wrong; evolution is observable today. But what's not observable and is not observed today is that complex forms of life, e.g. insects or nematodes "evolved" from "simple" forms, e.g. bacteria. By the way - the latter are far from being simple! Don't get me started on the pseudo-science that are the "theories" (hypotheses, in fact) of how life may have formed from non-life (chemistry PhD speaking here).

I think that this misperception of your videos is what motivates many non-Christian scientists to now have a negative view of Christianity. Some people claim that Dr. James Tour a brilliant Chemist should be awarded the Nobel prize in Chemistry for his accomplishment, but since he is a devout Jewish believer in the Messiah he is often bypassed. As people we know only two things for sure. 1) There is something, and in fact this something is complicated and incredibly fine tuned. This has supposedly allowed some primitive first life form to diversify over billions of years to the point we are here talking about it. But no one has observed a genetic change that adds such de novo genetic information into the biosphere. Natural selection only selects from whatever is already in existence, and mutations onlt messes up DNA and its functionality. Personal incredulity is not a scientific theory. What is interesting to me is the presenter noting that things were different "after the fall", that is, after Adam and Eve were evicted from Eden. I'll just point out that the animals had nothing to do with that, but they are made to suffer anyway. This is echoed later on when God becomes disgusted with humanity and decides to wipe them out with a worldwide flood. Again, other animals had nothing to do with this, but billions of animals were drowned anyway. God is great! but not very fair.

    The highly intelligent behavior exhibited by such tiny creatures (or large ones, for that matter) makes me wonder if they aren't somehow 'plugged in' to a spiritual plane of computational potential, which would mean that they are tools of God. That is to say that their operational programming isn't entirely contained within their tiny bit of cellular or system structure. Rather, they're in communication with the support system God made for us all. We, on the other hand, are not properly hooked up with that other plane of existence since the fall of man. Yet even in the fallen state, our minds and memories seem to reside outside of physical storage and retrieval systems. This is how I make sense of a being that operates on a level that is transcendent to mere physicality. Yet, we're in this state to learn something, to avoid the trap that Lucifer fell into, where his own pride became a thing that he worshipped. The first commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me" bears out the issue. Were there other gods out there, but we were commanded to ignore them or actually put them in second place? I don't think so. The commandment is saying to not worship your own delusions, your own mental constructs. Continually test your thoughts lest they lead you astray.

    @@jockyoung4491there is no science without God! Maybe God gave science to help us understand creation better. Odd that all things appear to have very complex programming! So much so even a lot of scientists are now pointing to a creator even tho they won't say which one! Maybe you are behind on your studies or just already hardened your heart so much you won't consider anything unless it doesn't involve a creator!

    @@jockyoung4491 Well frankly that is because I have already been where you are now. Looking for anything that would support the belief I didn't want to consider. When you open yourself up the evidence is everywhere n you may realize how ridiculous it was to ever believe otherwise. Anyway God doesn't tell believers to convince unbelievers, he simply says to talk about his truth. It is you duty to chose with your free will because only you will suffer the consequences if your wrong. The bible only states all ppl will hear about him n get the chance to decide. It's serious so think it thru but it's all on you! I will add there is no punishment for being wrong on one of those choices!

    Easy answer here. In the past 60+ years have you never seen someone blow Marijuana smoke on a spider in its web and then watch what the spider then does?

    The reason God created this spider and other mind-blowing feats of nature, was to add all the more evidence for the penalty of those who refuse His holy name and reject His Truth so as to show the justice of them burning in an agonizing Hell for eternity.

    Science isn’t about being right all the time. It accepts tgst some ideas may be dead wrong so research is done to find out which ones are. Religion isn’t that way. Religion constantly seeks to justify things people already believe despite all evidence to the contrary.

    I call upon all engineers to contemplate biology carefully - this will expose the genius design in all things. It is not just DNA but also the control systems and regulated growth. This shows us the mind of God. There is no excuse for denying it.

    Mr. Smith's incredulity that this spider behavior could have come about through evolution is not a scientific argument, and his deliberate and continued misrepresentation of what the modern scientific theory of evolution actually says demonstrates his desperation. This is precisely the kind of behavior based on heritable traits that lends itself to incremental improvement. We already know that some spider species use lures to entice prey, so this could very well be a modified version of that behavior, making it more understandable how it could evolve.

    That smug little laugh destroys his argument about the "genius of gods creatures". The more you know the more you know you don't know. If you sincerely seek to KNOW GOD you will soon learn that god is excluded from this universe. He may be in some other universe but there is and never will be any definitive proof of the existance of god..

    Romans 1:20-21 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Psalm 104:24 O LORD, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; The earth is full of Your possessions.
