One of his weaknesses was that he was very weak. Giving him a shield makes him immune to spells at first and useful to be deployed OVER enemies too

Executioner still has more maximum range and he can pull some cool stuff with his boomerang axe gimmick but Evo wizard is just going to deal so much more damage and it's going to be a lot harder to counter on offense

I feel this makes wizard significantly better. Not dying to a 40% usage rate spell immediately really helps a card out a ton. I'd dare call this the first "great evolution" that actually fixes a card's problems instead of just making them stronger. Truly a wonderful and well thought out evolution. I feel like if more evolutions were like this the game would easily be more dynamic and enjoyable since you can actually meaningfully change matchups with evolutions instead of just having a strong card that always forces a negative elixir trade

Pretty sure it's because the knight barely survived, and since its evolution reduces damage taken by a percentage perhaps the game's calculations had a decimal and there was a rounding error, leading the Duchess to believe she killed the knight.

Based on what? Because it really does look like 3d, and 3d is significantly cheaper and easier to do for quality animation like the evo wizard. 2d with that smoothness is very hard and can get expensive.

I knew this was as why I was seeing so many Lv15 wizards now XD Also Wizard finally got the buff he was needing-

remember folks: there are no "bad" evolutions. They are literally all stronger than their non evolved counterpart. Not a single one gets worse when evolved.

As someone who has run giant, wizard, gob cage, gob barrel, arrows, bar barrel, baby drag, and mini peka for years now this is a great update for me because when I’m supporting my giant with my wizard it always gets fire balled or poisoned out so this shield will help tremendously!

I really hope they don’t get to that point. I already disagreed with them evolving wall breakers. There are only a few more cards that need evolutions and then they need to find a new concept. I’d say Rascals, Heal Spirit, Barb Hut, and maybe Battle Healer. I think they should only give Evo’s to Common and Rare cards from now on

Dagger Dutchess Nerf was unnecessary She struggles a Ton against tank and swarm push and completely fails against Graveyard decks.

The cool thing about Wizard is that he doesn't really fit into any current meta decks, so you gotta make your own. It's a fun challenge especially in higher ladder arenas.

The whole "Supercell" strategy of evo is to make more usage of underused cards

This is gonna be a hot take but my theory for this patch is it’s gonna go live, everyone’s gonna use the wizard, and even though it hasn’t been changed in the last four years people are gonna think it’s overpowered and fall for the placebo, and the wizard’s first change after these long four years is gonna be a nerf from supercell because of the stupid evolution lol.
