My 1990 Vanagon has the same chime from 0:03-0:07. It's commonly called the "La Cucaracha" chime. It's very '80s.

Oh the Cucaracha, my favorite chime of all time, my cousin had a 2002 Volkswagen Cabrio and I always wanted to go and start her car up because I would hear the Cucaracha Chime and it was my favorite chime of all time :)

The mk4.5 one brings back memories of my dad's old Octavia

Every 90's VW in South America came with this same chime 0:11. Sounds like an italian ambulance.

Doug DeMuro would love the warming chime form the 80s and 90s VW Jettas.

I never heard the Mk2 and Mk3 chime before, it sounds completely different from any other warning chime I’ve heard.

They used to call it the "La Cucaracha" chime, because the three notes approximate the major notes of that Mexican folk song.

First off, glad to see you making more chime videos. Second, if you’re looking for more suggestions, I have a some: 1) Pontiac Grand Am/G6 chimes 2) Lexus LS 3) Toyota Supra 4) BMW 7 Series 5) Cavalier/Cobalt/Cruze I combined some models for 1 and 5 since they were only around for a short time.

Haven’t heard the second one since 2011. That’s when that car died. So many memories.

i love the jetta my favorite is the 2002 Volkswagen jetta 1.8t and it sounds really good

I like the Volkswagen Jetta car because of how it sounds.

The last one is actually the Mk7 Jetta, Mk6 was sold from 2010 through 2018

I miss my 97 TREK . I did short out the door chime though replacing the battery. It never worked after that.
