All Things Must Pass is my favorite of any of the Beatles albums, solo or even as a band. Once the Beatles ended their time as a band, it really felt like George was finally off his leash. It also says a lot that musicians like Bob Dylan and Tom Petty not only joined a band with him, but became close friends with him. Tom Petty is my personal favorite musician of all time, and I read in the Petty book that his and George's families would often spend Christmas together. Imagine how cool it must’ve been sitting by the Christmas tree, by a fireplace, and behind you are just two of the greatest musical legends ever.

I loved all their music the same. Paul was the most successful and now he is a billionaire.So sorry John and George left so early and not knowing what they could have done. I do believe John and Paul would have written together again. They would have done LIVE AID 1985 with QUEEN. I try to imagine that.
Imo Paul’s best period was 71-74. Ram, Wild Life and Band On The Run remain my faves and George’s delightful 1979 George Harrison was really his best.

2:23 I feel like there’s a better way to say women are suffering. I love all The Beatles, but this song and the whole is pretty rough.
Lennon wrote classics like Imagine, Mother, God, Mind games, Happy xmas, watching the wheels, woman... as well as such relevant songs like isolation. Also, He paused recording for 5 years when he was concentrating on being a father. Lennon was the best out of the four - no question.
@fcamsterdam8941

I think he paused for five years because of the poor album Rock 'n Roll of 1975. Same year as the great album Venus and Mars. And ask Julian Lennon what he got from his father and after John's death from Yoko. Don't see it in rose-coloured glasses please.
@Weztex

@@fcamsterdam8941 I don't see it. Rock 'n' Roll actually had ok reviews. A lot better than Sometimes in New York City after which Lennon not only didn't stop but came back with the excellent Mind Games. Lennon himself told that he took a break to spend time with his newborn son and see him grown up, something he regretted not doing with Julian. Not everything is rose-tinted but you let's not distort the reality too far in the other way.

Sketchy. Left out Harrison's Living In the Material World, Ringo's Beaucoups Of Blues and Ringo albums, and It Don't Come Easy, The Concert For Bangladesh. Only made it to 4:12 before bailing. Poor excuse for a retrospective.
as for Ringo, he made one song - 6 o'clock and a sea of shit, Lennon made some more good songs + the ocean of stupid music as well
None of them were anywhere near as good as solo artists, the biggest disappointment being Paul McCartney who was absolutely brilliant as long as he was a Beatle, but that bubblegum pop stuff that he produced as a solo artist--John Lennon rightfully called it "granny music"--is just worlds away from his earlier genius with the Fab Four! The only good albums that came out of any of their solo careers were John Lennon's first two solo albums. Period. Otherwise, just second-rate, boring music.
