I always kinda took this for granted, but the fact that all of the robot masters did their own unique action/pose when you selected them is AMAZING, especially for an NES game made in 1987. This tiny little addition added SO much character to the games, and that may not seem like a big deal, but name one other original NES game whose baddies had that kind of personality at the time. Even Bowser, the most iconic video game baddy of all time, had NOTHING in his first appearance. He was just a mindless beast. The fact that the developers took the time to add in this level of personality to their game really shows how much they cared. In fact, many aspects of the original Mega Man just radiated personality, in a time when this was considered rather insignificant. Things like starting the first Wily stage from the outside of the actual fortress and having to fight your way in, and the settings in each stage starting to shift into more and more unsettling and tense backgrounds as you progressed truly made the player feel immersed, and it made the build-up to the final battle with Wily that much more exciting. Or the credits scene, where it's just Mega Man slowly making his way back home, shedding his armor and being welcomed by his family, made the ending feel SATISFYING, as opposed to an empty screen with just the words "game over, thank you for playing!" like most other games at that time had. Say what you will about the franchise now, but back then, this level of care and personality in a game was very rare, if not completely unheard of. And THAT'S what made Mega Man amazing. They cared.

Kinda true, but not super accurate. Where do you put Shadow Man or Skull Man in that list? Also some are very much in-between some categories. Is Napalm Man Weapon or Explosive? Is Plant Man animal based? Is Centaur Man Animal based? Is Flash man Time/Space or electricity? Is Acid Man Aquatic? What about Hard Man or Top Man - weapon? Speed? There is certainly similarities but I think you need to make more categories to cover them all xD

You know what would be awesome? It would be awesome if someone were to reanimate the intros for each of the robot masters (not these ones) so that they fit with their personalities and what not. For example, the person could have Flash man stop time and be like Dio from Stardust crusaders, just walk past Megaman, arms crossed, and point his weapon at his head, like he's about to kill him, but decides not to and goes to his designated place in the arena, or have needle man do like he did in the archie comics, just sitting there, sewing, and when he realises Mega man is there, he freaks out and puts his stuff away, acts all nervous, and then gets into battle position. Throw in some reactions from Mega man and some fitting voices and you've got yourself a proper hd recreation. Same with the death animations the first time they're beaten. Like with Acid man, have his helmet shatter and in a panic, try to scoop the liquid back up, but to no avail. Sad, I know, 'specially since he'll also have a saddened and deafeted expression. Edit: if you want to know about more, just let me know. Edit: same with the weapons, like with Flash stopper, have Mega man's head look like flash man's, and give him flash's gun.

I'm kinda sad that MM6's Robot Master statistics didn't actually matter. Imagine an actual competitive, Pokémon-like, tournament with every Robot Master included, each with their own stats.

Now that I think of it, spring man should have been in ARMS

It's a Game Grumps reference. In their Mega Man 2 playthrough, the Grumps debate whether to face Flash Man or Crash Man first. The conversation then escalates to where they start making up Robot Master names that rhyme with "-ash." One of the names they come up with is Stash Man, which causes the Grumps to laugh hysterically.

They really nailed the boss intro for Megaman 10. Probably the best intro just beside Megaman 4 intro. I can feel pumped up and ready for the upcoming boss.
