That transition from GT5 to GT6 made me Climax! It's too smooth that I didn't notice it!

Finally, a player that uses proper driving lines (I do that because I want to look like I was rubber banding too when I watch myself from another vehicle and make a good lap time) instead of going crazy around the track or bumping into other vehicles. Kudos to you, mate. The whole gameplay is clean and smooth.

I am amazed to see from gt 1 to gt6 that NISSAN SKYLINE GTR changes so much it started to look like FUCKIN BMW

The amount of time I spent doing online races round HSR on GT5 Prologue and GT5...I remember the days of Prologue and a grid full of NSX Type R's. Man they were good times.

Guys! High Speed Ring returned in Gran Turismo 7 as one of the original tracks in Japan. 😄

The evolution of GT is amazing ...

Turns 3 and 4, the turns right before the tunnel, are probably my favorite turns of all time in the GT1 and GT2 versions. Then here comes GT4, destroys the banking in Turns 2, 3, and 4, widens the track by like 2 lanes, and makes every single corner on the track less sharp. From there on out High Speed Ring was a forgettable fantasy track.

in the GT4 version, there's a small entrance to the pit stop near the start/finish line. You can get in there without actually getting a pitstop if I'm not wrong.

Yep, and if you time it right, you can crash into cars in the pit lane and prevent them from pitting

No one noticed that the track called "Toon Island" from Motortoon 2 has the same layout ? Motortoon 2 was also developed by Polyphony Digital :)

Pretty sure that game was GT in disguise.. during development they didn’t believe in the concept of GT, so the dude who made GT made Toon Island, and when they liked it, he used his work to make GT

It's unbelievable how subtle the changes are between each game but it somehow gets from the first one to the last one

Very clear that PS2 was a miracle of it's time. The biggest improvement in a generation.

I feel lucky that I grew up when I did. I've been able to see the progression of games from NES to what we have today.

Yep me too. When I was a kid my first experience of gaming was playing the Amstrad and spectrum since air at my cousins lol I started of with the master system and mega drive over here in the UK, while friends had Atari ST, Commodore Amiga etc. Now ages 41 I'm looking to grab a Ps5 at some point lol

nothing beats original, it had this claustrophobic feel to it with high fences which made you focus on racing solely and not so much scenery, it was grand valley and time trial's part

Another 5 or 6 volumes and that pit road entrance is going to be at three start of the esses at this rate. Can't believe they extended that entrance even further after they moved it to before the last corner rather than on the straight

Formula gran turismo races here on GT5 before one of the lame updates was epic. Running a 200 lap race online here was long and exhausting but 100 lappers were better and i won there online in a league race and still have the replay saved lol.

Wow I don’t remember high speed ring from GT3 but I was always with that track on GT5.

Funny I don't remember the original being this pixelated, but it was, still thought it was a revolution in the day.

My memorable experience in the high speed ring was in Gran Turismo 6.

I used to do this in just over 51 secs, in a TVR Cerbera LM. I couldn't do it now though. 😂

*@karelpipa* Not going to lie; I also prefer the older layouts, from GT1 & GT2. The current layout, since GT4 to GT6, feels like a cold-hearted FIA-certified complex. At least, the PSP Version is (somewhat...) different; due to the extra Michelin bridges. And, speaking of bridges; why did Polyphony make the twin-bridges so uneven, since GT5: Prologue? They look so off; when, one bridge is elevated, and the one we're driving isn’t. (Yes, I know, the second bridge is for the spectators; but, in my opinion, they deserve better. MUCH... MUCH... better. I liked the two bridges, equivalent to each other. Now, they feel like a toxic ex-couple, who don’t want to look at each other.)

Anyone know is there any difference between gt5 and gt5 prologue because i completes gt5 and i have prologue not started?

Hungaroring, Hockenheimring, Norisring are all not *speedways* and were never designed to be *speedways* . It's used as a general term for a loop.
