Fun fact: the 2007-2014 GMC Yukons with the 6.2L V8 have a lower pitched chime than the standard 5.3L V8 models.

1:00 The reason that one was a different pitch was because it had an aftermarket head unit, in GM cars the radio uses the same wiring as the door chime, so installing the aftermarket head unit changes the pitch.

This is not an aftermarket head unit. All GM cars with this style head unit had this chime. I only know of some GM vehicles that have a different chime when you change the radio. (etc. Pontiac Aztek, Chevy Colorado). The GMT800 SUVs (2000-2006) had it but the GMT900 SUVs (2007-2014) had a different chime if you changed the head unit.

0:37 is my favorite. Early 2000's GM was in it's prime. They started going downhill after 2007

I love any Yukon model, and Escalade model, oh we can’t forget about the Equinox!

I like the 2010, 2015-2020, and the 2021-PRESENT ones. My dad used a 2010 GMC yukon before replacing it with the 2015 version, However the price was WAYYYY ridiculous Than the average price.

I personally like 2003-2006, and 2022 present. Except with 2022 present, GM has any problem you can ask for mostly.

I think a request that I would love to see is a evolution of *Ford Super Duty* chimes.

The corvette never had that particular chime unless it had the aftermarket radio installed in the car.

GMC Yukon’s are really nice suvs, the 2020-2022 models may look nice but they suck otherwise because Gm quality slipped on GMC really after 2015 for sure, I mean 2007 was the last best year for the brand. 🤔🙏🏻

GM is great with technology and stuff in 2021 to present times in my opinion, but after 120K miles, the car keeps eating cake flavored Problems. My dad had a 2004 Yukon SLT and after 120K miles, it was breaking down more and more and we ended up getting rid of it and replaced it with a 2008 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with the navigation system and it is still holding strong. The floorboards however are broken because they have a broken motor, but that’s fine.

@@automobilecentral342 Well that’s normal wear and tear on any brand vehicle actually not just Gm, technology on Gm is hit or miss idk I had a 2012 Chevy Sonic Lt and that car was absolutely horrible it was constantly breaking down with low mileage and I did maintenance on it regularly and it still broke down, plus I bought it used from a Honda dealer, which was horrible considering now I saw why they got rid of it while it was still brand new, Ford products really took a nose dive after 2003, but they had some better years in between on certain models, but unfortunately both Gm and Ford are definitely trash compared to Honda and Mazda on newer stuff, older stuff different story roughly the same because any Ford or Gm with proper maintenance got the same mileage as Honda and Toyota when they aged. 🤔
