It's kinda mind-boggling that people say this boss is overused. Not only is it the perfect example of Eggman actually fighting rather than having some old deity do it or piloting some ship, it gets the message of the series' Nature vs Man vibe. Plus it also shows how much of an egomaniac Eggman is, it is literally his face obstructing Sonic's way.

It also hasn't really been used all *That* much. I couldn't even recognize Forces had one until I rewatched the cutscene where Eggs said it was one.

Don’t get mad at me but I like the sonic four version it’s just a lot more colorful fall of red and they have a lot more attacks which can just make it annoying and more challenging

In Sonic e Knuckles the final form of the robot in doomsday zone is the "death egg robot" but a little modernized

I love death egg zone more than any zone in the whole entire game.
This is like the 7th time Eggman’s used the Death Egg Robot. 1st time was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992). 2nd time was Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I. 3rd time was Sonic Generations. 4th time was Lego Dimensions. 5th time was Sonic Mania. 6th time was Sonic Forces. 7th time Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Movie.

Beleive it or not, the giant robot in the Sonic 2 movie is not The Death Egg Robot, I think, it is actually the final boss of Sonic 3. You can tell by it's size, it's hands instead of spikes, and the fact that it was powered with the master emerald. Again, just a theory.

Tbh your theory is just not making any sense, It WAS Death Egg Robot right to your eyes. The size of the mech in Sonic 3 is almost as same as Death Egg though, the hand is just because of their redesign to make it more functional while in battle with Sonic, if the hand is with spikes instead, I don't think they would do anything to Sonic, make him drop his rings? Just stop making theory like this, think logically
