If you want to make up storys the second one has a battle mode and char creator! Also luckily the three manhattans in this game (normal,hydra and noir) and the liberty statue are beside each other! also this world seems smaller because chars like spiderman increased in speed!

0:11 You know theirs a bootleg lego version of Hulkbuster 1. I would actually recommend buying it. (no i'm not insane, i swear) Having a Hulk-Buster that's in the same weight class as the Hulk was just so much cooler! Also the Hulkbuster from 1 is objectively better because of how it's used in its boss fight. (Said boss is NOT just 4-5 minutes worth of quick time events, BTW) One line: "House Party Protocol initiated"

Naturally some characters in 1 look better than in 2 and Vice versa but personally I like the comics style of characters in 1 more than in 2 even though there are some exceptions like comic Iron Man in 2 but overall they both look well made

I can see it in those characters yes, I will not deny that the inverse does happen which makes some characters better. I think the character in the movies I think about this for the most is hulk. If you watch all of the avenger movies again, you can see a very steep decline in the quality of hulk's physical appearance, and his personality. Personally I'd say avengers 1 hulk was the best in all ways because for an 8ft green rage monster, he actually looked pretty real and acted like hulk. Apologies for a long winded response, don't intend for it to be aggressively argumentative

The first lego marvel game took the hero and villain designs to their old designs and I like that

The old Hulkbuster, Hulk, Captain America, Doctor Octopus, Red Hulk, Rhino, Sandman, Green Goblin Pumpkin Bombs, Dormammu Headpiece, Ghost Rider Headpiece, Superior Spider-Man, and A-Bomb look better than the ones we have right now I love both of Star-Lord’s looks but the new mini figure we have now functions a lot better than the old one, so I guess the new one is better

We have to remember that only 7 MCU movies existed by the time of the first Lego Marvel game was released.

1 had a better shine to it. especially in suits like iron man, they really know how to get that metallic look. i also think that posture is very important. in 1, venom's posture is straight up and it doesn't fit the character. venom looks better in 2. i also think Dr. Octavius looks better in 1 because all four of his tentacles are on the ground. Spiderman's idle animation in 1 makes that version better, even though it wouldn't fit the character in 2. Odin and Electro's lightning in 1 makes them better than 2. Dormammu looks waaaayyy better in 1. the animations make it better. red skulls posture in 1, standing with his hands behind his back, portrays his character better. overall, i think 1 looks better. And i haven't even played 1

The 2nd one is on a different time of the day, that's why lighting looks worse. But some models like the hulk buster and groot look very bad compared to the first one

They're both the default versions of their respective game but yeah it's pretty funny. It's also in Lego Marvel's Avengers.

LMS was a marvel game first and a avengers game second because they didn't really have to put in any of these characters like wasp but LMS 2 is an MCU game first Marvel game second they focus more on move designs but both are great, and there is lma.

The lighting and reflections, although exaggerated, appear a lot nicer in the first compared to the second. Although the animation in the second is nice.
