He wouldn’t have, but when Rosalina recreated the Galaxy, she saved Bowser as well.

The first galaxy game always had the scariest ending with the feeling that death is coming and everything in the entire universe is crumbling apart. It gives me the goose bumps every time I see this cutscene. Imagine how it might look if the game was Remastered or had updated visuals with the higher capabilities of the switch. It would look even more realistic.

Everytime I think of a "family-friendly" villain having to be attacked/defeated, I picture it in a more un-expected way: 1. A big (or not-so-big) scar somewhere around his body, and at the same time, 6 pounds of paint/oil/lava/fire emerging from the inside. 2. A big Explosion from the inside causing rocks to emerge along with lava, fire, smoke, black oil, blue paint, et cetera. (NEED I SAY MORE? I WOULD LOVE IT TO BE MORE REALISTIC. NOT TOO MUCH. The bowser is a fake one, and that game over screen only appears in the beta if you run out of time (the gameboy horror had a clock on it)

Well in New Super Mario Bros. (DS), it did in the first fight with him, as it reduced him to his skeleton form and walked as the undead. In Super Mario Galaxy, his fight consisted of having him slam down onto one of the glass lava pads, where he'll destroy them but it'll hurt him as his tail will be on fire and he'll start running around until he'll eventually put it out. This whole "if Bowser is immune to lava/fire himself" thing seems to be quite inconsistent, seeing of how he always resides in it. Maybe it's just of how powerful the lava/fire itself is to where he wouldn't handle it or something.

Probably depends on how hot the lava is. Some lava is much cooler than other lava, and Bowzer's resistant to heat, but not completely immune to it. Incidentally, a star does not count as lava, and is hotter.

To be honest, Mega baby Bowser is probably the scariest Mario boss, aside from Elder Shroob. I mean, the child is towering over you, running toward you, with no intent of stopping. That scared the heck outta me as a younger person.
