Unfortunately, people like you, don't even know that Theory of Evolution doesn't contradict with Islamic theology. In humans evolution, we believe in a story branch which linked to both science and theologic facts, you believe in another branch with linked to only science and scientific assumptions. You fill spaces with your assumptions, we fill spaces with our theology, for evolution of humans. I guess, thats enough. By the way, in Quran not in philosophy of muslims, God himself wanted us to discover and research about creations of animals, etc. It was already there but muslims didn't do that, Charles Darwin did. Don't blame Islam due to ignorance of believers.

@@yigitcanozturk8475 uhh assuming much about me, are you? 🤦‍♀️ I’ve studied both science and philosophy for a bit, and I was trying to relate to you what I’ve found out. Philosophy of science and epistemology (philosophy about how we can know) is typically not discussed in science class because science classes are primarily about how to gather the evidence and evaluate the evidence. They don’t even teach you how to come up with hypotheses properly, in my experience… or rather they assume that hypotheses come from the prior evidence only, but they can actually come from your philosophy about metaphysics and so on.

@@anastasiya256 I agree with you. Even in these days, some scientiest believe a theory of multiverse which is actually based on mostly their metaphysical hypotheses. Somehow there is not even a single evidence in the universe for things like multiverses, strings etc. They see that as a scientific assumption in String Theory which is not scientific but totally philosophical and theoretical. My whole life i grew up Muslim, and I had lost my belief by smoking weed all the time and did not have a way in life, and was very unhappy with everything in my life. Once I accepted my religion back i have been slowly growing more and more at peace with life with myself and remembering all the teachings i was privilaged enough to grow up with. A lot of the times i pushed it all away, whether because i was ashamed of it or felt too much guilt to think about it. Your videos are such a breath of fresh air. I feel like a revert learning about islam eventhough i lived with it my whole life. Thank you so much for all your videos. I love that you bring in a western view to Islam and explain them all in your perspective. I grew up turkish in romania studying in an international school hence had the privilage to know and speak english at a native level. A lot of the times i feel confused about where i belong and how to approach islam and the general language and teminology because as a kid though i was taught it i never cared to learn it properly. This is just a very long thank you. Real people are watching your videos and it truly is inspiring, to me and clearly many others. Also love the humor, i've done a binge watch of your channel, not to sound creepy. Keep it up, I love your view on life and relate to much of what you say and really appreciate everyhting that you teach about islam.

You should pay more attention to biology and actually read the quran without anyone telling you how you are supposed to understand it and twisting its content. Read 3: 59, 15: 26, 17: 71, 38 :71, 55: 14 and ask yourself whether if there was evolution, would the quran desceribe things like this?

@@airtale8725 not exclusive to Arabs as you can go and learn the language of Arabic for yourself. As lots of academic professors of the Quran themselves know Arabic and study the Quran. Nobody says evolution is not true. It’s that evolution does not disprove God. Especially the fact that we have Hadiths form the prophet saying that during the end times there will be lots of trials and for a that holding on to religion will be like holding onto hot coal. And especially the fact that the the purpose Allah created the earth was all just for testing mankind and jinn. The earth has no other purpose. So I’m guessing Allah created the heavens and earth in 6 periods and not instantly so that when we in the future would discover these we would be challenged with trials same with evolution. As for whether Allah used evolution or not I don’t really know but one think I do know is that after studying Islam and the Quran academically it would be stupid for me to say it was not from Allah. And do not bring KZread pathetic apologists in to arguments. As no reputable institution cares about KZread. Apologists on religion and don’t care about them.

Man, I am SO happy I discovered your channel. As a new revert, I asked myself a lot of these questions and I find that my born muslim friends are unable to answer them (that’s not a criticism btw I admire their blind faith) but my flaw is that I question things a lot but I pray to Allah SWT that some things be made clear for me (although I accept that some things I will never know). This point was probably the thing that I questioned the most , and now it makes sense to me, so thank you for making this.

I don't think blind faith is a good idea, especially these days were they will inevitable encounter difficult questions when on the internet.

Even when something is explained by science, it doesn't rule out the possibility that God was involved in its creation. This is a testament to God's existence and His intention to create systems that behave in a certain, predictable way, rather than randomly. It's not feasible for a system to be created or generated randomly and consistently work in the same way. There are many things in the world that are unique and behave according to their own systems. However, these systems are interconnected, showing that they are part of a larger, complex system. In essence, the existence of such systems and the predictable nature of their behavior suggest the presence of a higher power or intelligence, often referred to as God. Even the most intelligent creatures on this planet cannot create something perfect. There will always be bugs or unexpected behaviors.

I think that people who pit religion against science miss a lot on both sides. I have talked to friends on both sides of the false dichotomy, some of them atheists who say that science disproves religion, and others hardcore Christians or even fellow Muslims who say that science is false. I like to bring up the example of two people looking at the mona lisa and one of them says "it was painted by DaVinci" and the other one says "no, it was obviously painted by a paintbrush with this type of paint". They claim that knowledge of how things work and how things originated disproves the existence of a creator.

There are no systems only your perceptions of them. Nothing happens the same way twice. Ever. Humans are just capable of recognizing patterns. They can detect stimuli multiple times and learn to expect certain outcomes. There is no system that was made by a creator it’s just your brain’s ability to recognize patterns.

And many scientists, including some of the greatest, have the deep conviction of it (the best example is Albert Einstein) The question if whether there is a Superior Intelligence behind universe and its content is a question that science cannot solve/answer; we call such questions "metaphysical questions". For such metaphysical questions a certain/definitive answer cannot exist

Every Muslims dealing with doubts regarding it should read the scholarship by Dr Shoaib Malik on this issue as he expounds the many positions a Muslim could hold in regard to evolution that is scripturally consistent.

The scientific definition of a Theory is much different than the common definition. Theories don't become facts when they get enough evidence, hypothesis become theories.

Amazing work, this is a perspective ive never heard before, great job in disseminating it. I've struggled with reconciling what I've learned studying evolution and what ive been taught islam says about it and that it rejects it, but I always thought that there had to be a missing perspective in the mainstream discourse that explains the contradiction. Perhaps look into tafsir altabari (one of the most reliable books of tafsir/interpretation of the Quran) Also you should look into the English channel of dr. Eyad qunaibi where he has a playlist named "journey of certainty" refuting evolution and all these atheistic concepts. - The word "ayyam" means days Why did the book you quoted say it means epoch? If we go by this meaning then in verse 41 sura 3 : He said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not [be able to] speak to the people for three days except by gesture. And remember your Lord much and exalt [Him with praise] in the evening and the morning." So in this verse the word "ayyam" is used to describe how a sign was made for Zakaria that he will not speak to the people for 3 days. By the logic of the writer of the book you quoted then Zakaria didn't speak for three epochs... This proves that the book you quoted was written by someone who 1st submitted that the atheistic claims about creation were true, Then 2nd he reinterpreted the word of the Quran to fit the "scientific" paradigm. When in reality these claims about big bang or creation time or evolution are not science but rather a decepetion. This is why we should be careful where we take knowledge from. Also read sura 41 verses 9-12. Also about evolution and adam exceptoinalism that is so wrong. Allah created adam with his hands see sura 38 verse 75. Evolution is a deception.

@@shahan1465 incorrect, evolution is a scientific theory which basically almost qualifies it as objective fact. The process exists but the only thing that is changed is our perception of how certain species emerged. I don't know, maybe you have an explanation for fossils of creatures that express both modern human and chimp-like characteristics that existed millions of years ago. Most people against evolution just outright reject it without logic or don't even fundamentally understand it. Humans are apes, they're classified as such. Just how it is.

You're videos are great for answering questions that make people lose their iman! There was a 3 year period where I was an atheist because I had so many questions that nobody in my circle wanted to answer so I assumed islam was false but I began researching and studying it more and realized it was the truth! I recommend you make a video explaining why Mohammad (SAW) married Aisha at 6 yrs of age because this is another reason people leave islam.

I had a quick look at some of his work and it appears that he is a creationist. I should have mentioned in the video that i do not want to say that Adamic exceptionalism and Human exceptionalism are 100% fact, there is obviously no way to prove it, I'm simply highlighting its compatibility with science, theology and Islam. I have a large amount of respect to creationists and i agree with Many of their points. If i had a closer look at Dr. Eyad Qunaibi's work, I'd probably be confident in believing in it, as it seems like it does have its merits. I also refrained from mentioning creationism because its quite difficult for Non-Muslims to understand it, i feel like its quite a gimmicky topic to talk about in general too.

It's very interesting to me that even though I did no prior research on Islam and evolution. I found myself holding several of the views you discussed here as an explanation for evolution becoming a scientific "fact" and how it falls under our religion. I see your point about being cautious with the idea of intelligent design. There's an interesting concept in philosophy known as the anthropic principle. It essentially says that conscious beings will only ever experience a reality that supports their existence. In other words, if you're a conscious being, it's natural that you find yourself in a universe - or a specific part of it - where life is possible. An atheist could present a compelling argument against the concept of intelligent design by proposing a different hypothesis: envision an impersonal, unconscious force akin to the fabric of spacetime, which endlessly creates a myriad of universes. In this conceptual framework, much like the Library of Babel holds every conceivable and inconceivable arrangement of text, the cosmic force indiscriminately creates universes in every conceivable configuration. At the quantum level, where probabilities rule without clear causation, this concept aligns well with our current scientific understanding. In this seemingly infinite array of universes, each with its own unique set of physical laws and conditions, the sheer scale implies that some universes will, by sheer chance, possess the right conditions for life to emerge. It's not a matter of deliberate design, but rather a natural outcome of vast numbers and random variation. Consequently, as beings capable of conscious thought and observation, it's only logical that we would find ourselves in one of these rare universes or specific planets where conditions are conducive to our existence and survival.

I love this point, however it relies on the existence of many universes, rather than just 1. At the moment this is impossible to prove or to falsify, so i would prefer to approach the existance of God from another angle, such as the miracles of the Quran and Sunnah or the Contingency argument

Unfortunately the idea that we can scientifically support the conclusion of a creator is a lie. The entire premise is currently unfalsifiable and thus unscientific. That doesn't mean your God doesn't exist, or that creation didn't happen. It just means we cannot test for a God with science. It's literally the wrong tool for the job. It would be like trying to measure the length of the US Coastline with a measuring spoon.

Okay no a lot of this is very wrong. Although many scientists disagree with evolution so do some with climate change. Just because they exist does not mean that they hold valid claims. Perhaps critiques but not claims. Second, evolution happens through selective pressures that lead to variable outcomes through other mechanisms like recombination of the sister chromatids, and crossings over with can lead to mutations. These mutations are strictly random since there is no point to them. The only time a species is able to evolve is through those pressures that lead to some surviving and outlasting on another. We can measure the rate at which some species have change but this doesn’t lead to the idea that it was miraculous, epistemic. If you want a better example; our immune system also has hyper mutations that help fight diseases. That being said it happens quite literally by breaking apart dna and fixing in immune cells. This is literally random. There is no way how to predict the outcomes of the B cells once they change and change again

He talked against and about neo darwinism not just darwinism, and there is no way and no scientist who is actually one has said darwinism is wrong, darwinism means natural selection which means evolution by adaptation We do have immune systems that fight against disease bcoz we adapted Now how is this random tho? There are diseases that effect other animals not humans like the zombie fungus that effects only insects, this cannot be random , the outcome was probably planned and if it was random the virus that makes only deers zombies would make others too but no cases

Atheist here. A couple of things. 1) The title is potentially a bit clickbaity. I clicked on the video expecting it was talking about how biological evolution is detailed in the Quran. It felt a little dishonest on your part. But that might be my own misunderstanding. 2) Evolution works perfectly fine assuming random mutations as the underlying cause. I'm not saying that God didn't do it. I'm saying that random mutations still works even if you assume God didn't do it. And the idea that every other animal evolved except for humans is pushing it a little. Especially when we have every reason (from DNA evidence to embryology and more) to believe we evolved as well. 3) Adam and Eve doesn't work, man. I advise you to consider that as perhaps a metaphor like other abrahamic fundamentalists. 4) I would also advise you not poke fun at other arguments and viewpoints like at 3:07 because it doesn't make the best impression. Notice how I haven't made fun of you or deliberately worded my sentences to make them sound silly. There are a lot of people out there who would genuinely like to understand and more importantly, communicate with people of opposing views. And I hope you don't take anything I've said personally. Take it or leave it. I hope you live a good life. Peace✌️

You can follow Muslim lantern, Suboor ahmed, Hamza's den to know more about this topic. There is no full skeleton. Most of the skeletons are made up. You need to know the difference between scientific fact and a theory. Darwinian Evolution theory in reality is a pseudo science which is based on circular reasoning.

In the first section of the video you talked about the first key point being the earth has been in existence for billions of years, that doesn’t contradict the verse you showed after, the word أيام means days, plain normal days. The verse mentions that it took god, or rather he wanted to take 6 days of work to create the heavens and the earth. Which doesn’t mention how old the earth is, just how much time it took to be created. I wonder where you got the “epochs” interpretation but that’s just unnecessary gymnastics. Great scholars like ibn kathir mentioned in his book “the beginning and the end” that we don’t know if these days are equal to our days or not since our days are relative to us spinning and sunrise and sunsets but they at the time never mentioned that ايام means something other than just “days”. And it’s a common word today it’s not like it’s a forgotten language that’s rarely used today between Arabs. I appreciate the work nonetheless

For an Arabic series on this topic, watch Dr. Eyad Qunaiabi's "Journey of Certainty" (English subtitles are available). It is a very beneficial series all around, and it starts talking about evolution around episode 20 or 21.

Yusuf Ali: We have honoured the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours, above a great part of our creation.

Im an atheist and this video really changed my view on how religion can interact with science, this was a great video. I used to think that religion could easily be proven wrong with confirmed science facts, but i was wrong. Although my belief hasnt changed, my perspective did. Good job!

Yeah bro, theres actually no collision with religion and science. If you briefly assume that there is an all-powerful God, technically anything is possible as long as it isn't completely going against the fabric of our reality. Moreover, there are many scientific and mathematical miracles in the Qu'ran which i encourage you to check out.

That's a really nice video from you to make, brother! it tackled an extremely sensitive topic that in most cases clashes with Islam head-to-head, but I do want to say that from a muslim's perspective, creationism is the way to go, because we believe that Allah created every single thing in this universe, so there is no space for randomness to exist, either guided or completely random, because that goes against what Allah has said in his Quran. again thank you for bringing this up and I pray for your wellbeing, may Allah guide you to what's best!

it would be interesting if you had mentioned of the children of hazrat Adam and Eva, and their children, primarily that Cain married his sister "Aclima" altough I had not found more elaborate sources yet on this. my point being the beginning of genetic diversity amongst humans.

Salam, genetic disease that occur due to inbreeding, occur due to "bad alels". As Adam as. was created by Allah swta himself, we can easily assume that there were no "bad alels". Therefore, inbreeding would not be an issue.

The sharia law was the same sibling could not marry each other from the same birth. Whenever Adam and Eve had children, they had twins. Boy and girl. 20 sets, so 40 children.

Six days in the Quran are not the same six days we experience. It’s not a “24 hour” day. Allah said in Sura Al Hajj: “But a day with your Lord is indeed like a thousand years by your counting.”

Yeah and it couldnt be like that anyway. Because our (Earth) day differentiates from planet to planet. When you're trascendental being, day for you can be whatever you want as your body is not bound by physical location.
