Evolution: Climate Board Game - How To Play

Фильм және анимация

Animated How to Play for Evolution: Climate board game by North Star Games using wonderful Stikfas figures in stop motion.
It seems that I’ve made an error. While discarding a trait card from a species, put it into the discard pile. Do not put it face down under the draw pile.
While writing the script my eyes skipped down to the next paragraph in the rule book and I forgot to talk about discarding unwanted cards from your hand. Those are the cards you put under the draw pile.

Wow... just... WOW! I'm amazed by the production quality of your video! So smooth and so clean. I really loved it and also learned how to play! Rating 5/5, Cheers from Brazil.

Why isn't this the top video for Evolution Climate?! It's so good! Thanks for taking the time to make this.

You're welcome. It's not the top video because I made a rules error, perhaps?

Glad to see you back with another great video, and with one of my favorite games I'm terrible at teaching. If you made one for Tigris and Euphrates, I'd be set.

I used to own T&E but traded it away - unplayed. I just couldn't get anyone interested in trying it out with me. Sorry.

Wow...this is the absolute best how to I've seen on this game. I love the animation. It helps me stay focused on the game itself. About to dive into every animated how to you've got. Gonna be a long night! Thanks!

Thanks for the video! The normal how to play guy I watch just wasn’t up to par on this game, which led me to you. Yours was way more helpful! Also, your voice sounds exactly like the guy from “True Facts” which is one my favorites. So that gets you extra points.

Awesome explanation and video! One small rule thing though, they aren't technically herbivores, if you trigger something that would share meat food, they can eat it. Just the carnivores can't eat anything triggered by plants, if I remember right. Thinking about it though that is kind of an edge case rule.

Worth noting: if a Cold Snap or Heat Wave event card is triggered, you resolve the event only and ignore the "normal" climate effects (i.e. the population loss and food adjustments due to the climate level).

I like your Stop-Motion Animations =) One problem that i have with this game is with the climate events.... they never seem to trigger that much, i have played this game maybe 6 times and i have just trigger 2 EVENT cards in my entire playthrough of those 6 games.

would you recommend getting the conversion version or is it better to have it as a stand-alone and separate from the original? Also great video, always get excited when I see this pop up in my feed :)

You can split Evolution: Climate into the base cards if you want, though you just have to ignore some extra text on the cards. There's a thread on BGG asking this exact question, most people are in favour of just getting climate.

The figures are an old toy line called Stikfas. Hence the name Stikfa-mations. They have been out of business for awhile. You can still find old figures for sale on the internet.
