    I hate to love your review. I used to drive an S40 back on 2007, unexpected business partnership fallout (I was naive enough to be conned by best friend cum business partner), the car was taken by him and I was declared bankruptcy till date. I dare not to look at any new Volvo model due to my inferior complex all this while, stumbled upon your review, don't know why it just give me courage and hope again to relive my life and to own a Volvo once again. Thanks, Bobby, that's all I want to say.

    Hey @bobby! Just wanted to share that I love your videos as it meets the analytical mind in me in understanding cars and what's it like in-detail, in the real world! Your insights and opinions are quite different within the industry as it goes beyond not just the marketing hyperbole, but also that's what comes to be expected in the international car review media.. You help answer specifically the use-cases and technology in cars as it evolves. KEEP IT UP! Though your videos are long and I tend to probably indulge quite a bit :p I would like to ask why you are a wagon-guy? Practicality? Ease of convenience? You carry lotsa bulky stuff? For instance, I used to think having a sedan is the way to go but realise hatchbacks are more practical to load bulky items on occasion! Who cares about the looks as much these days as they look cool now. I see a wagon as a sedan+hatchback practicality and sometimes a slight edge in space over the sedan counterpart. Whereas hatchbacks do compromise sometimes, the length of the boot over the sedan equivalent. Tery

    +Hariharan Krishnan the S90 and V90 series are running on proven drivetrains, the T5 and T6 and Aisin gearbox (Aisin is a subsidiary of Toyota and makes the most reliable transmissions). Let's put it this way, every time a manufacturer launches a whole new generation of engines, transmissions, new infotainment systems, there's bound to be issues that needs to be settled. As in the case pf the XC90, i can say that Malaysians can feel the most assured, because the chief engineer of the sophisticated hybrid drivetrain, is the current MD of Volvo Malaysia Lennart Stegland haha! So we actually have a heavyweight running Volvo Malaysia establishing the groundworks now

  • @BobbyAngmalaysia

    +parwein raj the T5 is at the same price as the bimmer, but it's only FWD, albeit one that handles really well. Interior wise, i much prefer the Volvo's design and use of material. But Sensus is no where as user friendly as iDrive. The G30 is also very fast, 6.1 seconds equalling that of the T6R with 60hp less. Exterior wise, the S90/V90's styling is by far more striking, but this is the compounded effect of us not having a previous reference point. The G30 seems lukewarm only because the F10 was so good looking. Judging from the F30's exterior styling 6 years on, i believe the G30 will age very well, whereas the S90/V90 was so well designed at first place, so striking in its execution, there should be no easy plans to pull off a facelift 3 years down the road when everyone got used to the V/S90. All in all, i personally prefer the V90 over the bimmer, but i'd pick the G30 over the S90.

  • @BobbyAngmalaysia

    @BobbyAngmalaysia

    7 жыл бұрын

    +parwein raj On paper it seems like it. First of all, RM15k premium for a wagon is normal against a sedan, RM50k premium for horsepower bump from 250hp to 320hp, and lastly, it's the full suit of seni autonomous system. But the bmw does the same 0-100 at 6.1 seconds, and has a branded speaker and some form of assistance systems too, and the last generation M sport 520i is already RM480k

    Nice! Yeah in today's world the V90 is not SUPER fast. Heico tuned it to 400hp & 550Nm? From a 2.0 ? Wow. I thought my 420hp 520Nm 3.0T was a bit extreme ...

    yep, heico just released the tuning package for the new S60 polestar with the 2 liters engine, they already had an older package for the inline 6 and 3 liters of the old S60 polestar, but this time is even more extreme, and it costs 5000 US dollars, the heico package. 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds.

    I love this car!!! But I would like to say 3 things which can be enhanced for it to be even better!! Firstly, I wish it has a more sporter steering wheel... as sporty as the new audi (Q7 , etc ) , secondly, it will be nice to see a clock/stopwatch like the Porsche on the middle on the dashboard.. that will make it even sporter!!! haha!! and lastly, it will be nice to have some small side air-intakes like the new panamera.... that will be perfect!! other than that, nice car!!!!!!!!! (:

    +Xavier Lim haha volvo was given a sum of money and nothing more, they have to really smart on how to use it to return to profitability and to grow the company in a smart way. They designed the world's first engine block that can take petrol or diesel to save costs, they made a 4 cylinder that is modular for turbo, twin charged or hybrid phev, so its understandable for them to stick to one steering wheel design, but i have the same thought as you, perhaps a sportier one ... :)

    Yeah.. same thoughts! I really like the fact that the dashboard is not stood to high up , affecting the Drivers view to the road (: more and more premium cars have higher dashboards at the middle for the infotainment screens and it affects the Drivers view to the road... an example is Lexus... the ES250

    I'm surprised the Volvo didn't apply braking when the V90 got too close to the A250. But I guess the Volvo gives priority to the driver to do whatever he wants (power on) rather than than trying to second guess him, which is good. Very smart system there. Anyways, I like wagons too. Its nice to see more wagons coming to Malaysia. Choices are still severely lacking though. Would love to see a C350e or 330e wagon here cos the wagon shape would give back the boot space you lose from carrying those bulky batteries. And I've yet to see a single Levorg on the road.

    and thats how you get frustrated kids which got a Merc or audi or Bmw with daddys money, this is how you get them to talk trash about volvo cars on the forums and the comment section.

    it looks like the lanes are suppose to merge to one... while he was at front he technically had the right of way. till you over took him in that split second, haha. but anyway should be more careful on the road, you never know if u find a psycho driver.

    Sorry but road rage isn't good... If you want to race... Try sepang... It's dangerous for others as well
