@@miguelcarvalho5062 Ryukichi is expecting a drive rush or fireball and is rapidly inputting (buffering) the motion for super so that if Mena commits, he can punish with super. Ryukichi though Mena would be scared to press since he saw the buffering and tried to walk up and sneak a turn but got hit

I never understand when pros wanna do certain unoptimal combos to kill because it’s supposedly “easier” when they have the muscle memory to just do the optimal combo, because light knuckle into super would have 100% killed

You can't take a risk. You always go for the 100% kill if it wins the round. SA cannot scale below 50% damage. All other moves will keep scaling, especially the longer the combos. So it is hard to calculate the damage at the heat of the battle. All you know 100% is that SA will not scale below 50%.
