Ойын-сауық

Changing the inline VST fuel filter as part of the 3 year/300 hour service. This took me about an hour start to finish including video.

My gasoline pression in check point is about 1.3bar... pump is running...but I think that the problem is the little VST filter!!!@ I never saw it before!!!!!Tomorrow I will clean it!!!! HOPE FOR ME!

The electric fuel pump itself inside the VST tank also has has a very fine mesh filter on its inlet , if it gets plugged with gunk you can run into issues with low fuel pressure/fuel delivery during high throttle operation or issues with low fuel pressure , I usually open the top of the vapor separator and and remove the pump to check it, its contained within the rubber seat at bottom of the fuel pump inlet within the tank itself .

I am very very grateful you posted this about that other filter. I had no idea and thought I was done finding the small tube one. That was dirty. But the silver dollar one below the pump was very clogged and bet that I would get everything put back together and still have WOT issues out there and have to hire a tech and pay big time and money. Thank you so much for putting this on here. I have been researching a lot on etecownersgroup and have yet to hear about it there so I'm going to post something in my thread titled "another wot-low rpm issue".

@@JoshAndersonHunting figuring out how that gunk thats pluging the electric pumps mesh inlet filter is getting past the primary fuel filter is the big question , one has to wonder whats its source but I sure have found that issue there a number of times even when the primary fuel filter element looked quite clean when cut apart .. I suspect its residue carryed there from fuel line deteration . which can also plug ones injectors ,, anyone else had experence with this .. having an external fuel filter/ fuel water seperator is a important feature with etec's

@@brianperkins6121 Yeah I am learning about how injectors pretty much have to be sent off to be cleaned. What if there was a problem in shipping them and they lost or damaged my old Etec injector? Wouldn't that just be terrible? lol. Anyways, I'm looking at throwing in a new fuel line, maybe it's old like 07 motor. My "boat" fuel filter/water sep is good. I can't tell how old my main fuel line is, honestly. I can't see much of it. Maybe better go safe than sorry. The old plastic fuel cell is damn sure original, old and ugly. Looks like a hell of a job to clean that. I dont think you could ever get all the particles to stop coming off the walls.

Oetiker clamp is a brand name just like Surlok clamps. They are used on every and anything you need a positive 360 degree clamping pressure on that might be catastrophic if a clamp failure were to happen. Most commonly used on Oxy-Acetylene torches.

We have the exact motor from new has weird issue. Anything over 3,000 rpms the heat alarm goes off. But others you can open her up no issues until you come off a speed run. Water pump was replaced. No limp mode nada. My father doesn’t want to go spend a whole bunch of money hunting a gremlin. Other trips not even a hint of an issue?? Others it’s during anything opened up does it need to be flushed nobody in our area works on them except a dealer in Shreveport Louisiana. What is the issue?

Jeremy Bushue - hard to find because they call it “fuel return filter”. PN is 362268 and the clamp is 348839.

Oetiker clamp originated in Sweden. Sorry, so not a Canadian name for “SS Clamp” that would be a typical standard hose clamp.
