Where does all the oil go one puts in a 2 stroke?

That was not a Verado. I have a Mariner 150 Verado and it would have pulled the transom of the other boat! And it is by far the most powerful engine I have ever used. And I have used Yamaha, Evinrude, Mercury, Tohatsu, Suzuki, Honda and Johnson. My Verado is now 11 years old and no problems still.

Where's the Verado?

It's funny how evinrude hasn't done any test against a Mercury Optimax. Sure a 2 stroke will beat a 4 stoke but Mercury is the ultimate outboard. Wether it be 2 or 4 stoke!

How about they take on the pro xs? Personally I'll save the 3k get the Mercury and have the reliability.

Not a verado 4 cyl 150hp but a four stroke 3.0L 150 hp

I agree with you, they always test four strokes engines vs two strokes. Why they don t test two similar machines .

Etecs electronics have problems..... also this is not real because the boat would not sink like that.

I would rather buy an outboard from a company that sinks their money into being the worlds most innovative, dependable high performance outboard building and not slanderous rigged commercials. Yamaha is by far the most dependable outboards out there. Mercury has the fastest ones. Their latest attempt is that ugly G2 looking thing. I guess they think if they make a motor that you can get painted the same color as your boat some body might buy the thing. You're just polishing a turd.

David Clark my dad s. Yamaha blew up within 3 trips to the lake the piston rod flew out of the cheap Japanese engine block and he replaced it with an E-TEC still runs like top after 500 hours

Marc Harris yahama is not most reliable motor most time in shop yea I had mercury opti max andi trade for etec and etec are so nice and reliable and best four stroke is Suzuki

Reece Ponson optimax is a direct injection 2 stroke. Mercs 4 strokes are pretty damn good

Marc Harris yes I had optimax I love that motor but I went smaller and went to 16 ft wit 40 etec my friend got same boat wit 40 mercury 4 stroke and I out run him bad and any other 4 stroke now my brother got 95 mercury 40 4 cylinder and 2 carbs we neck and neck I love old mercury far as new 4 stroke mercury I have no use for mercury should stayed 2 stroke bet u didn't know the man behind the etec was the man behind mercury 2 stroke but mercury like everyone else wanted go 4 stroke so he left and went to eveinrude
