Wow what a clever hide. I'm doing a cache like this for boyscouts, but I'm painting over it so it will blend in. Love seeing your videos! They're always great

I am sure that the piece of wood fell out on its own. This is by no means destroying park property. The hider actually repaired something that was broken and made a cache out of it. Thanks for watching.

Nice one! Sometimes the opportunity presents itself. It is my suspicion based on the aged look of the wood is that as the wood dried further over the years the knot shrank and eventually broke loose. Fun one! Chris

That's awesome, thanks for sharing. If it wasn't luck, then it must have taken some serious skill to get that knot out like that.

I knew where you were from the first shot near the parking lot. I have been there more than once. I guess I know where to look now, but I do feel I have earned it with all of the time I have spent.

Advice For Making an Evil Knot Geocache: Mayberryman, maybe you could take out a rotten piece of a deck. (with a new board) Cut the knot out of the board with a jigsaw. Using a drill press you could cut a hole in the knot. Add the evil micro, then screw board to deck.

Sure wish you would Vlog the GC code so we could look for these too. I like this original cache and would like to find it and give it a favorite point. I am vacationing in Cancun right now and have found several caches including my 1900th FIND! Not sure when I will be back in MN but probably sometime this Spring or Summer to visit the grand kids.
