I feel like this could be linked to Groh somehow cos his Soul Charge looks similar to Kilik's but doesn't affect him in the same way, plus those two are said to be rivals in this game. But I don't know, hopefully, they give an in-depth explanation in the story when it comes out.

Maybe Dvapra-Yuga gives him control over the seed and it's power?

I'd hesitate to say "control" as it does affect his personality. Maybe it keeps the power at bay, but he can choose to lower that defense and utilise it if he needs to?

Yeah, the evil seed is what came to mind when seeing it too. That is, after the first thought of "Why the fuck did they make Kilik suddenly a super sayan reject?" Always liked Kilik, but I'll pretty much never use it due to just how stupid it looks.

Regardless this is my favorite version of kilik

I never really paid attention to the Soul Calibur story. Just played the games. Seems like there's some interesting things I've missed out on, though.
