Lana Parrilla was so wickedly good as the Evil Queen/Regina Mills, hands down on her portrayal

LMAO Reginas comment "That's not possible your..... green" with that mocking smile of hers im still laughing!!

Regina's quiet sadness is even more powerful than the all out rage and vengeance. "I've already lost everything that matters". Then when Zelena threatens her she shows she still has the dark side of her character and you do NOT mess with her.

"Someone to destroy" God damnit Lana I love her !!!

I keep rewatching the last 30 seconds and Lord I cannot get over the fact that Lana is one of the best actresses of this generation. Love her.

I love how Regina was so depressed about losing Henry and was ready to give up on everything but as soon as she has someone to fight with she's fine.

@Maria Rinta-Rahko Yea she is great but I expected her to be more maleficenty. All the "evil" women in that show was well casted. The good side on the other felt ... one dimensional and boring? The "evil side" was so relatable. My fav was rumple. I miss him and Regina a lot. They always made my day. They had such a intense and multilayered dynamic friendship/hate relationship.

That's some very good acting from Zelena's actress, you can tell how much the news of Cora and Rumple's deaths hurt her, but that she's trying really hard to pretend it doesn't matter to her.

I love how this show brings all the fairy-tales together and blends them together. Never thought I would see the Wicked Queen Regina from Snow White & The Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz as sisters lol

countgreg95 i don't think they downplayed it, because Regina was actually losing her darkness. They had to set up her loss of vengeance, bitterness, and anger (since magic is based on emotion), so that her light magic would be powerful enough to defeat Zelena

To be fair, they did the same with Zelena in later seasons. She got owned by The Evil Queen in season 6.

Normal people: I have lost everything and now a powerful witch who turned out to be my sister wants to give me a fate worse than death. I think I need a very strong protection spell, a psychologist and one year of wellness holidays. Regina: I just needed to find something to live for: someone to destroy.

Zelena and Regina: a perfect case of sibling rivalry! XD

O.K, well I thought she was going to say "My chance at true love", but "destroying someone" works too.

I love how Zelena expresses her jealously towards her sister & tells Regina that she had the royalty life that zelena always wanted & cora never wanted or loved zelena

My mind when I realized that the dress what Zelena wear is the one what was on Regina when she is going to Wonderland for her dad, saving him from her mother.

Alright I am going to make this call right now: Zelena is the child of Corra and Rumpel. That's my big prediction for this season so far.

Both sisters are right. Regina has everything only Cora want for her, her mother doesn't care of her willing and choices. Zelena simply live with a horrible man as adoptive father.

I think this is the only time Zelena crackled :( they failed with that

Zelena gives me nightmares

Zelena was very unfair towards Regina. She should have turned her anger towards Rumple or Cora, not Regina. Regina for once was innocent. She was not accountable for the choices that Cora and Rumple made.

Also, at the end, Lana perfectly portrays Regina with the line, “Someone to destroy!” She is like a Greek Goddess, specifically Dread Persephone: she is incredibly gorgeous and many times loving, but she’s still a killer. She can and will torture a person for years with techniques like Catherine Wheels, Thumbscrews, Blood Eagles, Crucification, Brazen Bulls, Breast Rippers, Waterboarding, Death by a Thousand Cuts, Drawing and Quartering, and Skewering without any remorse. At the end of this scene, we can see her truest form: diabolical, conniving, and obsessive. All results of the child abuse and neglect that she suffered from her mother. At the moment, her mother is dead, so she redirects her wrath to her sister. Her behavior is sociopathic. I, personally, believe she is a high-functioning sociopath, which is not a bad thing. Sociopathy is a personality disorder, not a conscious choice. However, lack of fault does not equal safety. She is good, she is loving, she deserves the best, but she is also mentally-scarred in unflattering ways that cannot and should not be romanticized.

This is totally irrelevant.. not averyone will get what I mean. but that.. "I've already lost everything" part, directed my thoughts straight to when kakashi was lecturing sasuke after his fight with naruto on the hospital roof "Then I'LL take everyone u love away, THEN u can experience A LITTLE of my pain!" "Ur too late.. I lost them all already.."

I feel like a lot of the fairy tale counter part characters are a little too casual and modern like. Like Zelena. Pretty sure that's not how the real Wicked Witch of the West spoke...or looked. In fact, the fairy tale counter part world just looks like a school play poorly put together.
