In Chinese Buddhism, people believes the heaven is on the west side, I think it’s something to do with Buddha himself being a Indian, and Indian is on the west of China… “Riding a crane to the west” is a phase to say someone pass away and the spirit is like an angle flying away to the heaven (or something similar)

Most of the main characters(queen/high ranked concubines/emperor) here are actually real aristocrats that exist in the history-but the details of their personality etc is unknown, therefore most of the storyline here are fictional(some events actually do happen, but the personality part is fake..therefore is she a bad or good person in real history? No one knows. But in this series? Yes she’s bad)

I couldn't like Empress Fuca in Yanxi palace. She was too nice there. No empress has ever been this nice. She was basically a doe. Although, here in Ruyi's they do depict somewhat true personalities of people. Everyone in the harem was fighting to stay alive and thats exactly what should be portrayed.

你误会了。古代皇帝基本都是政治联婚，很少是因为情爱的。而且真实历史，尤其是清朝，嫔妃其实是和睦相处（至少表面如此）。所以戏剧只是文学创作罢了。
